I'm good with toys built for kids, and the design decisions around these are just fine with me. I'm still in for $250 and do not plan to drop my pledge.

I can get behind that idea. I'd be fine if they changed the name.

Oh, guys like you have been great and very supportive. It's a few different sites that I'm finding have zero interest in books. It's all very weird and after a few chats with guys behind the scenes I'm more confused than ever.

BUT: This is about the Lost Protectors. With that in mind here's the latest Kicktraq mini chart:

You do know that the Four Horsemen's latest Kickstarter was originally billed as a pull-apart limbs line, compatible with Glyos?

But then, y'know, appeasement of 6 inch fans, betrayal of the reason for the Kickstarter, may it crash and burn horribly, etc, etc.

There is a thread in the Source Horsemen forum devoted to fan made characters who are built by swapping limbs. So if anyone wants to compare them to Hero Mashers, go ahead.

Same here Philip. Kaiju Kaos could really use a publicity boost... especially now that I'm tied to more and more 3rd Party TF projects such as Lost Protectors, BMOG and Slagacon.

Why not design some Kaiju who look vaguely like Transorganics?

I'll try to keep my reply on topic...

I actually had it in my plans to release 5-7 inch tall giant kaiju beginning this year that looked like the various Pretenders monsters. I began buying old shells to use as sculpting reference, etc. My idea was to to make each TF Pretender an alien race so people could play with their actual Pretenders and/or buy my resin "stactions" and build armies of these creatures. Then I discovered PWTToo and the Lost Protectors. I decided to team-up with Rik and his awesome team rather than pursue my own designs.

I'm still in at around $300 in pledges and don't plan to cancel my pledge.

I'm hoping this project succeeds and I intend to put out some kick-@$$ stat cards so people can play with these cool figures in Kaiju Kaos.

I was hoping to lighten the mood in here :)  It was a limited time thing though. It was kinda gross!

Such a shame as I was really looking forward to those later figures, ESPECIALLY Terrortops, but there isn't a snowball's chance in a furnace for that guy now, at least not through this method.

The big money is beginning to pull out due to a perceived (real?) lack of value for their dollars. Guys don't want to spend $900 only to receive a bunch of the same figure or two in return. They really, REALLY need to throw the resellers a bone here. Promise anyone who pledges $900 a package of $1400 worth of goods suitable for resale. Throw in a 3% discount on future product orders up to $10,000 worth of goods. They need the big guys on board if this is going to make it.

I just want to see the base level figures funded. Once they have some figures out there, it may help people see what they can make and fund more.

Once they have the Desolataur buck in their library, the figures that mix it's parts with others would be cheap to build. They could make make a snakeman or dinosaur man with a $10-20,000 Kickstarter later.

They also consistent pledges all along though. Neither suffered from days with negative dollar amounts.
