Well, I'd assume is this funds they ship off the figures from the pledges, but also make more to sell, use some of the profits to maybe design more pieces, sell convention and store exclusives, until they get enough money to either make the next figure, or at least fund a ssecond buck, and at that time decide if they want to try to produce it, or open a second Kickstarter campaign to make it. Considering it looked like Jetstrike was the second full buck in the KS, it will be next.

GITD is ubber popular amongst mini figure collectors such as OMFG, etc. I haven't yet put my Smackdown figures in glow but plan to some day soon.

    Painted prototype pictures have started!

Remember the slightly rough finish is because it's prototype material under the paint.

Yeah, rapid prototype stuff usually does. The real thing, made from a proper injection mold, will be smooth (unless he's suppose to be textured in parts).

I think it looks pretty nice. The colors are nice and bold and accurate for Skullgrin.

Did one of the ball joints crack off of a foot? Ouch. Bound to happen with fragile prototypes, but sad to see. Looks like it'd be easy to glue back on anyway.

I hope we can see this painted guy fully assembled soon.

It looks like a 3D print which generally are graining. I would expect the final figures to have none of that. It's a shame it's taken this long to paint. With just the one or two colors it's already starting to pop so much more.

I think he looks great and the color choices make more sense seeing it in physical form.

I'm sad about the broken foot but I hope we can still get some pictures showing some poses or at least some range of motion.

Edit: I just noticed that the neck joint looks to have range of motion at the base of the neck and at the base of the skull. I just assumed it would be a single ball on top of the torso piece. Maybe this could be a really emotive head.

This completely and totally explains why their prototype was not painted quickly.

I can't believe they wanted that crook to paint it. That alone takes it down a couple notches.

They'll probably never get it back.

Which is weird because you have been screaming how you have "zero" interest in this for a while. Now you have less? Weird.

Using Frenzyrumble? Really?? Does PWTToo not understand this TF forum at all?

For not much a Warhammer/wargame miniature painter could have gotten rid of a lot of that grainy finish to make it look professional (there are a ton of good ones).

Actually, I'm more interested now that they have a known liar and thief in their employ.

Makes for interesting reading. Can't wait to see how this affects everything.

I don't know the whole story but it seems like the painter they chose is banned on TFW and seems to not have posted on SSF since 2011. I don't get why they would choose someone like that.

He is a scammer, liar, and thief who uses photos of other people's work as his own, takes money in advance for projects he never finishes, and even re-sells the same custom multiple times to different customers (only one gets the actual custom, others get only empty promises for their money).

I'd really like to think that pwttoo didn't know this before they commissioned him for Desolateur.

oof, worse than I thought. Based on a little poking around I just thought he was a dude who got in over his head and didn't handle it right. Why in the world would they choose to associate themselves with him? And no wonder it's taken weeks to do a simple paint job. I could do it in a day easily.
