Eh? F2P here as are most players. As you rank up higher and fight the higher level bot fights more, they drop more so it's all relative to your play. As for your other comment, they're dropping cash in the game in a freemium CC game, there's no such thing as a level playing field.

On other unrelated note, Dena are pals with Nintendo now. Their hands are like everywhere, sponsoring the Yokohama team here, from the TF franchise to Final Fantasy Record Keeper and now Nintendo. Guess that's where 2 years of TFL cash money went to.

My top 4 is (or will be, still need another blitz and springer/jf2) dd, 2x blitz (one is currently TC), and springer/jf2, whoever I get to first (currently jf and astrotrain). Any advice is welcome.

Not exactly, Hasbro gets the profits for TFL, they own the IP, Dena/Mobage is a 3rd party vendor under contract until TFL becomes unprofitable then they'll [Hasbro] pulls the plug on it. It's amusing to see people go "rawr greedy mobage" over TFL when it's Hasbro that collects the check at the end of the day.

Now the games Dena/Mobage own the IP for, those are the ones they pocket all of the income from.

I personally don't know one way or another, but do you know that for sure?

Hasbro can own an IP and still licences it to a 3rd party. Again, I'm not privy, so I'll defer to you if you know something specific - but if you don't know something specific, don't assume it works the way you listed.

It could be that DeNA has a license to do TF games that expires at some point (say 2017) and while Hasbro may have some input and veto power, at the end of the day DeNA pays Hasbro like 5-10% of the gross or net or something like that.

If DeNA is just a contractor basically, I'd agree with you, but I highly doubt that is the case (but again, I don't know - or really care for that matter).

/edit for skirting my NDA. Believe me or don't believe me I don't mind.

The long and short of it is, no one with a billion dollar IP like Transforms, Cars, Marvel, Starwars is going to share revenue ... with of all things.. a mobile games developer. That never happens. It's a service that's contracted out and if Dena wants a cut, Hasbro will go and find another developer or take it in house.

If you are ever in a position in dealing with large IP's as a vendor, try asking for profit participation on their coat tails, you'll get laughed out of the building if not kicked out :)

But in the case of Legends, most of the transactions are based on spending Mobacoin, which is the Dena/Mobage's in game currency system for both their own IP games and some of their licensed ones so I have a hard time believing they aren't making money there somehow. So either, Dena gives all the money to Hasbro who then shares some of it with Dena or all the money goes to Dena who then shares some of it with Hasbro. It's got to be one of those two or it wouldn't be worth Dena's time effort, and money to get the licensing and we'd instead be playing something ridiculous like Super Knock Off Fansproject Make Toys Giant Robot superfight It's Boner Time! Instead of Transformers.

EDIT: I've also noticed that while Rewind is showing up in bot battles he is dropping absolutely ZERO cores, despite the core being listed in the list of possible drops.

So he's dropping about the same rate as everything else? :p

With the fights alternating, I've definitely done Chromedome, Barricade, Megatron, and Slipstream all more than 10 times each and haven't scored a single character core - 10% definitely does not seem to be the drop rate. I'd wager closer to 5% and 1 in 20 kills on the average, not 1 in 10.

My guess is rewind is the same.

To be honest I wouldn't be shocked if it was even half or a quarter of that and in the 1-2% range...

Edit - and to be fair, things are streaky... (which happens in big data)
While actively hunting Megs, Chromedome, and Slipstream I have accumulated 22 blitzwing cores, 13 Brainstorm, 14 thundercracker, 10 rewind, and 8 springer cores in the same time I've accumulated 4 chromedome, 3 armada megs, 3 sunstorm, 1 acid storm, 3 skywarp, and 2 slipstream.

For every person who got lucky with Acid Storm, Slipstream, or Skywarp - there's a me who didn't (and vice versa)

I got one Rewind core yesterday. As others have pointed out during the event, he's just reaaaally stingy with dropping cores.

Yeah, I've been killing Slipstreams a week before the last event and today was the very first time I got a Slipstream core. Blitzwing, on the other hand, drops cores every other time he dies.

Eh.... If they spent on Primes, they are going to spend on the next big thing too. And if it's not them it will be someone else later.

Better to learn not to be stressed by it now than to think something will magically fix it later and be disappointed.

I still haven't run into this, but then I'm at Warrior 5 so I'm not maxed out yet. I've also been playing bot battles recently to try to get resources for some of the characters I've unlocked to recruit.

Okay, now I'm convinced that the game has been hacked and some people are cheating.

I was just doing some advancement series PvP and came across someone with the s/n "Nasa Jack". Some things seemed improbable, but they were ultimately well within the possible outcomes of semi-randomness. It was irritating to be losing and then the other player piles on an Air Strike. The next turn, I get hit by another Air Strike.

Both versions of Air Strike require 4 Ability points and you only get 3 points per turn. Calling an Air Strike twice in a row can't be done without cheating.

Lovely game environment we've got going here...

Is it possible it was plasma bomb which costs only 3? Aren't the animations similar?

Ha, yeah I hate when that happens.

I wish you could choose a default between bot and alt mode, before you start the fight. BW would always start as a tank.

Can't wait until they fix evade. I know that statistics need to be taken on the whole and not in single instances

But when my rewind blocks 0 out of 8 MS shots on a 25% chance and his springer blocks 3 out of 8 on a 20% chance - it feels like there is still some issues in the evade procs. And that seems a regular occurance for me.

Well, it's a good thing that I vented here first and only humiliated myself.

I never saw the Plasma Bomb animation before, since I don't use it myself. I just tried it out now and saw the animation. You don't get the text banners on the bottom that differentiate the two when you're on the receiving end. You just get the animations, which are virtually identical. At this point it seems far more likely that they were simply using Plasma Bomb and I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

    Thanks, PA_Kid!
