Ha, 50 gold to get P/CP. Trust me, it'll cost more than that and good luck. I've tried a few times already and it probably would have been cheaper to just buy an actual one off ebay. And I still don't have him. This percentage chance to get thing is bullshit. I get that Dena wants to milk as much money out of people as they can, that's just basic capitalism. But past a certain point, you should just be able to buy the God damned thing you want. Sheesh. Anyway people, here are the stats for P/CP, if you plan to try for him, I wish you luck.

 

Holy crap, a WHOLE MONTH!!?? Couldn't they just have a week on, a week off, etc..? Dena really seems to have balance issues with their game models.

 

Game has REALLY pissed me off

4 games in a row this morning, I rolled terrible over and over. All this was only against human players. Far too often to be coincidence. Literally re-rolling the same character 3 times and never getting off the first two numbers. Did this four times! Each time the opponent always got exactly what they needed. Figured it was just bad luck but by the fourth game it was obvious the game had decided initially I wasn't going to win.

By the afternoon 3 games straight hit quad or triple SR Primes

I'm rank Command 1 so I've played more than enough games to see this wasn't random today! Started the day rank 80 something in the world, now 300 & something!

 

Mine now says next event soon. I would be ok with twice a month. P/CP looks pretty good, but probably not good enough to take the place of most elite bots.

 

Thats ok, but not overwhelming.

The two bot mode thing is cool and fun, but not enough to spend money on. HP are decent, but not OP. Napalm 14 is same as TC and Springer. That's a huge self evade, but not enough to be OP. Very similar to Springer with 15 hp more (nice to be sure) and slightly higher overall damage on spots (but a slightly lower top end).

Not going to change the top metagame like OP did as far as I can see. Run 4 and while you may be safe from multi-strike, straight first strike and staying a bot ahead would present it a real challenge (in my opinion).

Keep in mind it appeared and then quickly disappeared and now says coming soon. 31 hours would have seemed like an odd default - but 1 month could just have been a default as the counter reset. I don't think that DeNA would seriously consider waiting a month.

As others have pointed out, the issue will be that they come too fast back to back, not too slow.

But so far with the exception of Optimus, I doesn't feel like crazy power creep here so far. If they can make playing seriously in ever other even a realistic option and it not being an insane time sink like TF:Legends was - I could see sticking with this quite a while (and throwing them a few bucks here and there).

Yesterday was one for me.

One battle I remember dude got four first strikes, used jam/target/draw all in one round. Thought it was odd but when it happened again the next round something wrong.

After that I faced Granthien again for like the 7th time in two days. I can take out two SR primes but not the third.

Right after it was guy with two primes and two rewinds.

I got frustrated enough to play legends for awhile!

 

Wow, that IS an epic level of frustration. I'll confess that since I've started playing this, I've all but abandoned Legends. The rewards just aren't worth it anymore and the power creep just gets bigger and bigger with each event.

 

Thanks for his stats definitely not going after him now if his self evade was a team evade that would just make him awesome and probably a bit OP and would be great replacement for Springer.

 

I'm reading some turn to TFLegends during downtime, why not play TFRising? It's waaaay better. Or it's nor out yet in the stores?

 

Finally getting some Menasor bot battles, gotta say they are kind of fun, much harder than the older bot battles.

I've been sticking with bot battles. They seem to come in bunches now. It just takes time.

 

Kill exclusive bots either pvp or bot matches.

 

What others have said, also I'm not sure if Rank is taken into account. The higher my rank was, the more Exclusive cores I've gotten. Whirl seems to drop them more than usual but unsure if the recent update changed that. Max I've gotten in a match was 4 Exclusive Cores.

 

Thanks for the rundown. I know the odds are kind of low, but I feel like buying some coins for Punch/Counterpunch!   The self-evade thing sounds like it could come in handy (but my team is crap, so I can't count on a Springer or better to make up for this guy). I guess I'll come back and let you guys know if I have any luck.

I was trying to buy a Google Play GC at Best Buy today, but it seems to be the ONE GC they don't carry!    

A month would be excessive. I only caught the tail end of this Menasor event, so it'd be nice to see something soon!  

I wanna add that you do NOT have to win the over-powered Bot matches: most often, you will be crushed. But if you manage to knock out the character you wanna recruit (i.e. Sunstorm), you just might get his core. So even though you lose, you kind of win!  

My bigger issue is crap like Chromedome cores!   What the hell am I supposed to do with that?   He's not even listed anymore!  

 

The rich get richer!   I get the feeling that top players get more rewards, and I never understood that system. They're no longer challenged if they get constant rewards like that, while everyone else kind of scrambles on the ground for scraps!
