I think it's sad anytime a TF show has to close down. AA appeared to be one of the more popular shows, it's a bummer.

Biggest in Europe. I've gone every year since 2008 and took part as it grew from a short one-day event with a few hundred people to a long weekend with attendee numbers approaching 1000. I've met some great friends through it, and I'll be sad to see it end.

really sad to see this happen. I've never been (work etc) but I've always wanted to go. I'm really hoping they hand it over to another set of fans to continue as it still seems to be growing every year.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about AA over the years. Hopefully our UK brethren will still be able to have some form of TF show going forward.

It's sad news and I wish all the best and good health to the future for Simon and Family. A great service was provided to the community which will not be forgotten.

For the people asking what will they do now. Who knows what is in store for the likes of AA but there are other events out there. There is another..

Sad to hear the news, being in the US I Would likely never attend, but it always looked like a good time and convention.

A lot of folks who have never put together a big Christmas party, track rental, car show, gathering, etc. really have no clue how much time and effort is put into these things. In fact the reason a lot of things like this die off is a lack of willing participants to help shoulder the load as burn out creeps in on a few people trying to shoulder the whole load.

If you want it to continue, you guys have to get together and make it happen and take the work load off the folks who have been doing it for 15 years now. I am sure they would be willing to help in a background role while the next round of people step up to carry on the tradition. That way, everyone wins.

I hope something works out in the end :)

    Aw this is rubbish :(

I went to my first AA last year and it was brilliant (was my birthday and friends had gotten me a Milne commission) I can't attend this year but I was really looking forward to AA 2016.

So disappointed to hear this. But you can't fault the comittee for real life gubbins. Bedt if luck to them.

That's a shame. I guess those looking to do the trifecta of Transformers conventions(BotCon, TFcon, and AA), this is your last chance to do so. I think, if I scrimp and save, I might be able to do it.

Fun fact: I almost went to AA one year. Registered and everything. But I was unable to go due to unforeseen circumstances.
