I'm liking it. I missed the premiere, and I'm not going to put a lot of effort into keeping up with it, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.

Animation still sucks, but I don't have too many complaints about the scripting.

I wouldn't mind the "aimed at young children" bit if it wasn't for the fact that Rescue Bots exists.

Started loving it. Nine episodes and 8 "cons of the week" later and I really miss Prime. But like most transformers shows, I'll stick around until the end, because it's still early. Kinda. Rebels was hitting its stride 3 episodes in, and didn't rely on the imperial of the week via a pokadex device.

liking the series enough. not as bad as energon, not as good as prime, or beast wars.
loving the new decepticon designs i hope they get proper figures and not just one step garbage.

I'm currently just watching the show on Cartoon Network's schedule, and I like it from the first two episodes.

The humor was a bit too "kiddy" at times (that's often an issue with TF series beginnings, though, compared to their later comedy), but I find the story interesting, the action and animation style enjoyable, and the characters quite promising.

There is a big difference between Rescue Bots's toddler audience and 10 year old kids though.

Yes. I definitely like this show. While there a lot of things that need to be improved, RID15 has so far been a huge step up from TF Prime.

The lighter tone is great. Characters are allowed to have fun, pointless stories aren't deceptively treated as important, and the inept villains don't shove their supposed awesomeness down our throats.

The main cast of Autobots is good, although gives off a sense of been there, done that. Bumblebee has an interesting, tho generic story. Sideswipe is surprisingly likeable, tho he's generic kid appeal. Grimlock is the boring, dumb one, but his dino mode provides a lot of humorous moments. Fixit's comic relief is surprisingly well handled. Strongarm is surprisingly annoying and hypocritical.

Villain wise, things are SOOOO much better than, well, everything from from the past several years, baring the High Moon games. For the most part, each of them get their own episode to show off their personality, their motives, and give the Autobots a lot of trouble on their own. So much better than armies of boring, interchangeable Decepticons getting slaughtered each installment, like we've been getting from the movies, IDW, and TFP. Steeljaw is an entertaining lead villain, and I look forwards to seeing him build up his forces.

The story is where the show has, so far, really fallen short. Just like TFP, and RB, this show doesn't seem to have a story to tell. Hopefully this will change once we see Optimus' part of the story, although I get the feeling the Primes won't say what they're training him for until the end of the season. Hopefully we'll get an actual plot eventually.

I'm in. The character designs and the show itself are growing on me more and more.

That's what I thought! This is much better than the god damn relic hunt. This is, when Transformers Prime really went downhill. I would have preferred, they would have put all the stuff of the 3 seasons in 1 season. They had good season premieres and season finales, but nothing in between. There were a few really cool episodes and I really liked Bulkhead, Ratchet, Miko, Starscream and Knockout. But there was sooo much left to be desired.

Now RID15 just did not start with a big promise of an epic show only to dissappoint afterwards. It just started being fun and until now it stays fun and interesting. And that's why this show already is better.

i just feel the show is alot more dynamic than Prime overall, in Prime by episode 8 we had nothing but episodes where the Autobots fought in empty canyons for nondescript things or confined within bases, by in RID we already had highway rodeo with cow robot, jungle chase- fight in a oil rig, combat around the imploding space bridge... the action is a lot more interesting and the characters too feel more colorful since they're not all from the same background of being battle weary "badasses".

I think it has a lot of potential and could be really good if they break out of the Decepticon of the week formula they have now. I wish it was a bit more character and story driven, but I am willing to give it a chance to get going.
There have been a few moments where things have been very good, stuff like the Bumblebee Strongarm relationship is good when they have serious moments and it is not just Each episode.
"We have to follow the rules" - Strongarm
"Don't follow the rules so much" - BB

Sideswipe seems to have a past that BB seems to know about, but I don't know if this is the type of show that will address that backstory or even if that is anything of note.

It is fun for sure, but I think it can be better and should try to do more.

I hope it is doing what Star Wars Rebels did for most of the first season, focusing on introducing the characters with not a lot of big moments or a lot of plot and something will eventually happen to really get the series going.

Comparing the first 9 episodes of Prime against the first 9 of RID, I personally prefer the way Prime started.

But again I can see the potential this series has, I just hope it uses it.

It's okay, I still dislike the Cons being glorified fauna (weren't they supposed to be the military elite of Cybertron?) and can't stand the con of the week formula.

I mean.. maybe it's because I just re-watched the entirety of Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory recently, but I really miss large scale battles, and high stakes (watching Ginrai and the Godmasters/Pretenders/Headmasters battle Black Zarak, Overlord and their cronies for the fate of the Earth, or Star Saber facing off against Deathsaurus and Liokaiser, even the battle of Autobot City from the 86 movie).

Even Prime and Animated missed the mark on that, the last show that really did this well was Beast Wars imo (Although I never saw the Unicron trilogy) they seem to focus more on a few characters interacting, and a little humour and bonding, which is fine but.. god I miss my fierce firefights and large battles.

I'm just kinda 'eh' about it so far. I'll have to see how my kids fare with it, but knowing my boys...the 7 year old will probably find it hilarious but a bit silly and the 10 year old will probably say "that's stupid" on much of the antics.

For me the saving grace on much of the overly 'stupid' parts is that the other characters seem to be well aware that whatever the one character is doing is rather idiotic and/or embarrassing.

I haven't seen any of it yet, but from what I've seen it looks like a classic Man of Action show (like Ben 10, Ultimate Spider Man, etc.)
