I don't blame them dude...the 3P TF market is built on nostalgia. If it doesn't resemble a G1 character, I doubt it would sell.

Yeah I didn't have any expectations for Megatron even as a kid. I was just too excited to get him.

    Agreed agreed agreed.

People swoon over Fort Max, but he's just a big waste of space.

I think a lot of the desire for him had to do with the fact at the time he was still the biggest (New Metroplex is taller IIRC), he was never going to see retail release again due to failing the "falling" test for child safety certification, and he had a TON of parts so a complete Fort Max was a rare one indeed.

The Encore re-release killed all that.

The 3P catering to the G1 market is fine. It's the people dissing Hasbro and glorifying the 3P companies as if they are doing something new and innovative that cause the "overration".

His greatest practical use/value is as a display stage for Legends/Cyberverse/WST/Micromaster figures. He's a little too bulky IMO to be fun as a stand-alone figure, but he's awesome as a playset.

I think its funny how everyone always said he would never be released again due to the drop test. what a bunch of crap that is. I don't believe the drop test will ever stop anything from getting a reissue. that just my opinion.

    TF animated Swindle

Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE the animated line, but for some reason I really dislike Swindles figure, and TBH I'm not even entirely certain why, I don't really like his look, but there are plenty of figures I hate the look of but still love the figure, but there is something I cant quite put my finger on that pushes him past general dislike of appearance and into I genuinely dont understand what others see in this figure

Just my opinion though, feel free to disagree :)

    Fucking this right here.

I mean I wouldn't be annoyed if the Seekers were tall deluxes but literally none of them are tall deluxes they're all so annoyingly short.

It did stop it in the US - Hasbro wanted to release Brave Maximus in RiD'01 and it failed. Encore Fort Max obviously wasn't a Hasbro US release, so has no bearing on Hasbro to being unable to do it.

Pretty much. Hasbro can't sell any toy at retail that could potentially break from a fall and pose a threat to small children by ingesting parts as their re-issues have to be through store chains like TRU. Takara doesn't have the same restrictions because they're in another country.

Same reason why Arms Micron Breakdown couldn't even be considered - he fails the drop test, too. Sure, Hasbro claimed he also was too expensive to make but that had more to do with the fact they couldn't cram some dumb light-up gimmick in him to fit with the other voyagers. Truth is? He doesn't need one.

No, I'd say Breakdown probably was more expensive than the other TFP voyagers. There was much more engineering to him that made him a standout amongst the other figures of the line. There really was no issue with him, whereas the others had something wrong with them.

Maybe the car Autobots are too tall. I'd love smaller (commander size?) car bots.

For me they are a head too tall. Head shorter and they'd be perfect.
