yep, I've been to Yexel's Toy Museum. It's a custom 1:1 scale Optimus Prime with lights and sounds.

Yexel's a huge collector of life size figures and busts.

 

Funny, I was just thinking of how cool it'd be if they made a scale movie Matrix.

Thats just awesome....now if they could build 1:1 scale G1 characters....

 

I find it weird how most sculpts of maskless OP have this sad puppy dog look.

Yeah, that Prime looks sad... I think he's supposed to look mournful or war-fatigued, but they went overboard (the movie designers). But there are a LOT of movie fans (supposedly), so I'm glad they're getting a kick out of this!  

My favorite part is the redundancy: complaining about complaining is the correct way to go about it!    

 

I don't know why they always put his eyelids like that, they're never at that angle in the movie. The only time he's ever looked sad like that is in his original 2007 concept art.

 

That looks a lot bigger than full scale.

 

I was just gonna say that. It looks more like 1.5:1 or something. But it's still pretty cool.

 

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Its bigger than it should be, and I don't don't buy mass shifting.

Even in the eighties it never made sense to me as a kid.

That kid looks like he could slide down one of his smokestacks as if it was a playground they're that big.

Yeah, even for his film model he's huge. He's 28ft tall in the movies, but here the middle of his chest up is roughly 2 stories.

It looks really cool but I think its too big for 1:1 scale. Perhaps they went for the scale used in the movie but the parts look bigger than they should. The attention to detail is stunning though.

I don't understand the hate for G1 lately. I too would like to see a G1 Optimus 1:1 scale done with real truck parts. When I was a kid, I could only imagine what each Transformer would look like in real life. I'd look at cars passing by and think about what they looked like if they stood up.
