You don't think I know that? Besides, why not? Bumblebee went from a VW Bug to a Chevy Camaro, and has generally kept that overall form for years now in various incarnations. Not to mention Sunstreaker was a Dodge Viper in the Alternators line. Besides, it was a personaly hope that Sunstreaker get the Dead End mold since, in my honest opinion, it is a better design that could still work for Sunstreaker. The poor fella needs more love when it comes to Transformers. Hasbro just seens to overlook him all too often. Let Sideswipe get the Breakdown mold instead. Damn you Sideswipe...

I hope they don't. Sideswipe has been getting way too much attention over the years compared to his much cooler brother.

I hope using Breakdown for Sunstreaker works out well.

Totally! I find this one rather interesting in not only colors, but also in the overal design.

It would be nice if they had fiction to support Optimus and his lieutenants becoming combiners

Considering how morally ambiguous OP has been portrayed as of late esp in the IDW comics, I can totally see him deciding to subject himself and his most trusted lieutenants to the Combiners process as a last ditch measure if the war against the Decepticons turns out badly

It's more likely Prowl being the prick he is in IDW comics, will convince OP and the rest to do it as the highest logical chance for victory against the Decepticons

Rodimus is another thought I had. Maybe re-release is possible? Would look nice with Metroplex.

I have zero interest in a straight up white repaint of Prime and the Masquerade bots. Then again, I'm loving the Combiner Wars figure so much that they'll probably come home with me if I see them. I know Hasbro needs to get the most out of these molds, but this just reeks of "Well Dragstrip looks like Mirage...kinda. Let's repaint him and slap his name on it." Same with the others. Characters who have never combined are suddenly combining, one episode of G1 be dammed. I, m just not a fan of that. I was almost going to pass on Cyclonus, but it's a Voyager sized Cyclonus so I'll be picking him up. Not so much with White Prime and the Masquerade bots.

Sunstreaker has all of one classics toy.

Sideswipe and Jazz have Classics, Movie, FOC and RID2015 I think they could take a break.

There are people out there who just don't have every classics figure and might want to get one of these instead. Personally I intend to pick up Mirage and Ironhide.

I plan on getting Ironhide because I want a good Ironhide, Sunstreaker because I will support every Sunstreaker release. I might get Prowl, honestly depends on what he looks like.

It'd feel way too redundant like Prowl/Streetwise/Barricade sharing the same mold, way too similar designs and colour schemes that are nearly similar minus the head designs.

Agreed. Sunstreaker deserves to be used more often.

I'm almost disappointed that they didn't actually make that toy a Hi-Q homage instead for the full Powermaster Prime homage attempt.

Hey, be thankful it's not like Energon where the combining made the individual Autobots be considered good if they weren't lacking any basic articulation *cough*HotShot*cough*

Um, isn't the only Generations-branded version of Bumblebee that resembles a Camaro the IDW one from a while back? He's been a hatchback in the legends, WFC, and even Animated lines since 2009 otherwise.

Was anybody in Alternators besides Hound and Tracks actually true to their G1 alt. mode?

Actually, blame Bumblebee for being the yellow kid appeal character. God help Hasbro should they think selling another yellow car at the same time as Bumblebee is viable, etc. etc.

You do know that if Hasbro doesn't keep using certain names constantly, they lose the trademark, right? Like, they didn't regain Bumblebee as a name - due to some child swingset having grabbed it in the 90's - until 2006 for the original movie release date, when the movie got pushed back, the first Bumblebee toy since the mid-80's was then Classics Bumblebee.

For common-use names like "Sideswipe" and "Jazz" it's harder to claim dibs on them than nonsense names like "Sunstreaker".

This is the same mold as Dead End
    [IMG]

You can tell on Streetwise's figure that the grille of the car is significantly different from that of Dead End, along with the head, legs, and a good number of other details.

Remember; this is the same company that used the same base figure for Springer and Sandstorm, and the same pair of legs for Air Raid and Slingshot.

I don't think you need to worry too much.

They don't even have the trademark to Jazz, he's always called Autobot Jazz.

(Though I'm not complaining about him being used more often)

Any new CW Ironhide beats this ugly piece of shit

I don´t have the original Ratchet mold, so being redundant is not an issue for me.

    Come on. Totally Sunstreaker!

The foot/fist was fully designed with Sunstreaker in mind. So was Breakdown for that matter. It's designed to store on his back thusly.

If they retooled the chest to look even a little like Sunstreaker's, like they did with Streetwise, I'd be totally up for that. They may as well give us a Sideswipe too so we can match them. Just give him a different retooled chest.
