It just occurred to me that the Great Beings must have something against Kongu being a Toa. Both of his mask powers screw him over. The first enables him to read minds but he can't shut it off, and the second enables him to summon monsters but not control them.
It's seriously my favorite mask we've gotten in the reboot. It looks so cool on Tahu. Bought Kopaka this afternoon there just to get a second one heh.
That's kind of a given for a mythology with a diverse cast of deities to follow Greek Mythology rules (read: have all of them be assholes).
Well I finally got the courage to post my first MOC up on Mocpages. Go check it out. Sidoran the Tortured: A LEGO® creation by Bradley Harper : MOCpages.com
Finally got around to picking up one of the new Bionicle sets, Tahu. Actually quite impressed with it honestly.
So against my better judgement I decided to post some (most) of the MOCs I made recently. Before you start, yes, I am fully aware that I suck and lack imagination. I've had very little experience with building Titan sets up until recently whereas I've had plenty of experience working with the Inika build over the years, so I'm far more familiar with that setup than pretty much any other. So yes, a lot of these will seem really unimaginative to the rest of you who have actual skill working with Technic pieces. I have no stories figured out for any of these guys so feel free to help me out. Yes, I pretty much slapped Matoro Inika's arms onto Nuju Hordika's body. Like I said, I suck. Anyways, I figure this one's a good guy, but other than that I've got nothing. One that I actually think turned out pretty well. It's some kind of mutant hostile Rahi. Unfortunately his limbs are made from lime green connectors so he's pretty much doomed to die-- as a matter of fact they already have cracks in them-- but for now he's pretty awesome looking. A bounty hunter dude. Initially he had twin cutters (like Matoro Mahri's) on both hands, but once the 6 lb lot arrived I swapped them out for the considerably less cumbersome Nuparu claws. A shoddy attempt at recreating the Maxilos shoulders in a bid to give this guy some more bulk. Basically Jaller Marhi in blue, with Nokama Hordika's head, wearing shields on its shoulders and carrying two swords. Kind of plain, but I like the color scheme.
So, I've been reading the 2006+ story that I missed after falling out of Bionicle, and I think I've missed something. I'd just finished 2007's novels and comics, and started on the serials when I realized I hadn't read how Kardas ended up on the Island of Mata Nui, or the part where Vezon fought the Inika in The Cord. Biosector01 doesn't have reference tags, and the stories linked at the bottom of the pages don't seem to cover it. Does anyone remember what those events were from?
cancelled book between Legends 6 & 7. it was supposed to cover the Inika's journey to Mahri Nui plus some other stuff. Vezon would've returned & Makuta would've possessed Matoro at some point. no idea when Kardas went to Mata Nui, though. i guess he just flew north after Legends 5?
I don't think it was specifically covered in detail, but Vezon and the Kardas basically parted ways, with Vezon going into the cord and Kardas heading north to Mata-nui.
Episode 6 in english (if it hasn't already been posted) Videos - Bionicle LEGO.com I love Tahu and not-Vakama's exchange.
What exchange? You mean, like, the entirely matter-of-fact explanations he was giving Tahu. It seems a rather unintentional side-effect of the narrator trying to deepen his voice to portray Tahu is that Tahu sounds like an idiot, especially when he asks questions. Just use your normal tone guy I won't like be mad or nothin'. Also, these episodes are really short, really simple, and really far apart.
They really should've got individual actors for every character. This whole "narrator retelling a storybook" crap is annoying. I still stand with Jack Black being Tahu.
