My walmarts finally got rid of all the AOE junk... Only to replace it with RID2 junk.

    Sigh.

I haven't been keeping up with the dock strike news n stuff, but I was home visiting the folks last week and I talked about this with my brother. He said only one port reopened for business while the two other west coast ports were not. I don't know if that's still true or not. I guess I'll go search for some news on it.

    *edit*

Now that I think about it, on my way to San Francisco one day, we went over the new bridge and I noticed a bunch of ships (a few of them cargo ships) just sitting out there in the bay. My brother basically said that they had nowhere to go.

Wow dock strikes? That's so... last century. Not something I'd expect in a modern country, if you see what I mean.

Having said that, if we in the UK have dock strikes, we might notice it on some things but on toys? Nah. We get them so infrequently a dock strike would probably go unoticed for weeks if not months.

There's plenty of current product out, but stores just aren't getting it. For this reason alone, I don't think I've ever gotten burned buying certain things online early that I know I'll never find in person.

The problem near me is not only is there a lot of AoE stuff left, the pegs and shelf space dedicated to Generations have been clogged since before Christmas with the shelf-warming Generations stuff (all the voyagers minus Sandstorm; the Skywarp and Rattrap deluxe waves). Plus, the AoE stuff is slowly being replaced with RiD stuff, whereas the Generations stuff is not moving or being replaced at all.

It's been bad but nothing like the Energon drought of 2004. Nothing but Ironhides as far as the eye could see from February to November.

So many great figures and skipped over because they can't get rid of old stock. *sigh* they need to stop over-ordering figures.

Never saw Arcee, Chromia and Brainstorm at Retail. Had to resort to on line to get them which I should not have had to do. No thanks to the dock workers or retail in general. I applaud the ones that were lucky just keep in mind that some of us got the shaft. Sometimes my area sucks when it comes to finding rare figures.

I went ahead and got Chromia and Brainstorm from HTS. Here's hoping they get in Arcee sometime soon. I hate having to pay $26+ for a deluxe figure. Hell, you can still get the Mammoth Optimus prime for the same price on Ebay.

nothing in my area. 30 miles to the "big city" there is stuff.

The thing I keep watching for is aoe sales. Deep please just buy these sales. None of the places I frequent the most are budging on price. It's a pain in the ass to get to the tpysrus when they are open, and since 8 out of 10 times I walk out empty handed I don't put much effort into it

So I bought brainstorm and some cw limbs from etailers

It's going to take months if not a year to clear the port backlog. Things arent changing for a while.
