Why'd they go all Easter Island on the faces?

 

These things just don't appeal to me at all, which is weird because Initially I liked them.

 

car mode looks okay. robot mode looks like it came out of a $0.25 candy machine. not worth $25...maybe worth $9.99

 

these things look awesome. if the price is right count me in.

 

Ah, was this a BBTS just making up a random price thing they do sometimes? Always rushing to get POs up before everyone else so they often times just make a guess at the price. A few times in the past I have gotten stuff cheaper than retail because they guessed too low.

Just what I've always wanted.

Nice use of DX9's Guartinel in the size pictures. Cannot wait for these, I need more model train bits and buildings to make little dios for photography with these to star in.

 

Wow, the faces on those are...horrible. They look lower quality than some of HasTak's recent legends figures...how unfortunate

 

Man I'm getting impatient for these.

 

I really wanted to do something similar when I got Hercules. I wanted to create a strip of downtown street mid destruction. Never got around to it. :/

I looked forward to these from the start and for this reason, see image. Ok quality wise they are not the best, eyes are faint and a pin on Smokscreen was not glued which i can fix easy enough. No their quality is not to high a standard compared to most others(but other 3p stuff is not all that quality wise either) but pleased for the pre order price i paid i got 3 of them. As long as the price is modest i will continue to support and enjoy this line. They are really good fun aslong as you dont get hung up certain aspects.

Peaugh said in his video review he didnt know what they were for, i knew/know why i wanted them.

 

I love this scale which is why having had a chance to now fiddle with two of these guys I won't be adding these to my "legends" line up. The quality just isn't there and when compared to the Dx9 and Iron Factory guys these things are just bootleg quality. Plus the faces are just awful.

A real shame as I wanted to like them and I can't see anyone else making a Prowl just yet.

 

I have only been buying third-party legends scale, and I was excited when they were first announced, but the faces are truly horrible. The vehicle mode looks nicely sculpted though.
Too bad, Arc Studios seemed to be hinting at multiple scales. So far only Iron Factory has attempted that.

Maybe DX9 will take a shot? Prowl would fit in nicely with Ratchet & Ironhide.

 

^ I hope you are right, as I kinda would like to retire some of my mp cars for a legend counterpart. Thanks for the warning guys, and its too bad these guys didn't bring their best as the other companies doing legend scale are.

 

Well, let me try be clear in my view. The quality isnt great but for me atleast it is good enough for purpose. At 1 foot away if you are picking out the detail you may notice this lower quality and finish but at 2 feet away they look top notch, loads of paint apps and silver etc.

I dont have the iron factory or dx9 toys, i chose these over them. These do have have their advantage over those away from the quality. These are different characters and from the promotion they suggest that they will make more and there will be a scale thing going on unlike just having lots charcters the same size(dx9). These dont have big ball joint elbows they are more clean looking with the hinge. Aswell as that there is no shortage of fiddlabilty with these, they each come with a spare head with different expression, shoulder canons, the gun, the bumbers, and sheild. No to mention they have wrist swivel too, i appreciate the amount articultion and movement they have given these.

So if quality and finish is a big thing for you then think on it, but consider everything else too.

Yeah both the faces on prowl and streak are abit too blocky, not terrible imo but could be better, smokescreens face and eyes are different and he does have the best head for it. The sideswipe mold they teased looks the buisness. If they continue these i hope they take from the old legends line only where needed and stay orignal to really make them sing, imagine if these had actual door wings.

Quality and finish is a thing but not a big thing, i still really like them and want to add more to my collection.
