I'm personally hoping Swindle. It would scale better with a tank and a helicopter than a jeep would. I'd also like to see Hardhead. However, I'm really hoping he isn't used for Brawl. I want Brawl to be a more traditional tank.
He could be remolded into an entirely new team member for either the technobots or combaticons. He might even be part of Cyclonus's team. Since the combiner wars figures appear to be based off their IDW incarnations he might never be Nosecone. All but two of the technobots are still alive in IDW currently, Scattershot and Strafe being the two. Otherwise Nosecone and Brawl seem to be obvious choices but Breacher would be a good alternative too. I'd be curious to see what figure Strafe gets made from since we will most likely be getting the technobots.
I'll have to nitpick but this isn't a tank. Some IFVs have 105mm guns such as the one you pictured, a 6x6 variant of the Pandur II with a 105mm. They're strictly used for fire support, rather than an offensive/defensive tactical role that tanks fill. It may not seem like much of a difference but basically a true tanks wants to mix it up, be in the thick of it, while a vehicle like this is hanging back and giving fire support to infantry on the attack. Considering Off Road looks like to be the most likely candidate to be Swindle, I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry about Swindle being made from Rook.
I was thinking Rook's remold/redeco will probably be a new character in the Combaticon team. Though it could be a new Technobot or possibly one of the team that goes with Cyclonus. I wouldn't be surprised if every use of that mold is a new character rather than an update of an established character.
Yeah, Hastak can easily do treads that split like Leader Megatron (on alt mode it's not easy to tell that there's 2 separate treads) and PCC Heavytread (the plastic treads just split in half), or a single tread that folds in half like minicon Heavytread
I'd like to see Ironhide being retooled from Rook because the proportions and look fit Iornhide pretty well. I can't see him being made from Off Road because the proportions wouldn't work for him that much. Ratchet on the other hand can work well with Off Road/First Aide's mold.
It's probably gonna be Brawl. They already used Breacher to make a Brawl a while back, and his most recent toy was some sort of Star Fox-esque hovertank-armored vehicle thing, so this looks like a direction Hasbro could go. I like the Nosecone idea.
How about Ironfist out of Last Stand of the Wreakers. Last years club version didn't quite hit the mark for a lot of people. The irony is that one was also a combiner limb.
Who's the one in the middle? I can recognise the others, but my memory's completely let me down on the dude in the middle... WANT. ALSO WANT.
Ironfist would actually work fairly well, since they both have chest-wheels (though Ironfist's are a bit lower). I'd definitely be up for that.
