Wildrider or GTFO.

 

I really like this guy's colour scheme and, well, general style. He feels like he stepped out of the G2 comic or something. This is how you do new members!

 

Not enough pouches, ammo belts, guns, or scowls to be from the G2 comic!

 

To me all of the Stuntacons are so much better looking than the Arialbots. I'm liking what I am seeing here.

 

He seems cool enough! Will probably still try to get a Wildrider if he gets released as well, but I'll perfectly happy with just this one if things don't work out.

 

I certainly like the black with metallic/grey hood on the product shot a lot better than the all grey, but he still looks pretty good. At least he'll match Wildrider's color scheme in Menasor mode. May still be waiting for a real Wildrider toy to complete the team though.

Who's this guy getting repainted into? Swindle perhaps?

That face fits Rodimus... Man I so want deluxe IDW Rodimus.

 

Except it's not being repeated on First Aid ... Yeah, First Aid is retooled from Off-Road, but they may as well be two separate molds. First Aid is like 80% or more new tooling.

 

It would be interesting to see this digibashed into Rid:15 Strongarm.

The first time we saw the Stunticons they were test shots that had to be glued together to hold the combiner mode, so it was likely a late change to accommodate First Aid's retooled altmode.

It's probably the only reason Combiner Wars made it as a toyline, but both setups are probably held back by the limb guys' need to form both an arm and a leg. If they could drop the Scramble City aspect then kibbleless combiner teams would probably come way easier.

 

A lot of you guys are really missing the whole point of Combiner Wars. They're giving us the original G1 combiners. And, this is the part that you don't get, they're giving us NEW combiners too! Like Ultra Prime & Galvatronus. You're supposed to buy this new guy AND Wildrider!

Did you ever think that a combiner doesn't need to be strictly 5 members? Motormaster is the main unit that makes Menasor. As long as you have Motormaster you have Menasor. But there could be 50 million different Stunticons with the ability to form an arm or leg. If Wildrider is damaged or on the other side of the planet & not currently available to combine then Offroad could step in.

If you think about it, every Autobot car could have the ability to combine with Optimus Prime. What if they did that right from the start in '84? The Transformers would have been even more awesome that than they originally were.

That's why they're giving us new characters like Offroad, Rook & Alpha Bravo. Because, unlike most adult collectors, Hasbro is thinking like a kid. You don't need to be so anal & so strictly glued to G1. As long as you have Motormaster at the core you have Menasor. It doesn't really matter who forms the arms & legs. We're getting all the originals & Hasbro is adding new members. If 1 of the original 4 characters are off fighting somewhere else & Motormaster needs to form Menasor he's shit out of luck. There needs to be a lot more than strictly 4 characters that can form an arm or a leg. Thank God Hasbro understands this! This is why I LOVE Combiner Wars!

All you geewunners are just going to have to deal with the fact that the Stunticons & Aerialbots are no longer strictly teams of 5. Powerglide is an Aerialbot now! Aerialbots are now officially a 7 member team including Powerglide & Alpha Bravo. You're just going to have to deal with change & get with the times no matter how much you don't like it.

All you guys that are sticking strictly to G1 aren't going to get the full enjoyment out of this line. Guys like me & the kids that don't care who forms the arm or leg will be able to fully enjoy what this line has to offer. We're going to have unlimited combinations, you guys are only going to have whatever G1 gave you.
