These figures are coming out in part to satisfy the longtime enthusiasts, and to provide additional options as well. To the people saying that there's no point in releasing a sixth member of a five-member team you're clearly not seeing that some people want different things than you do. As is the case with repaints, there are so many put out there because they want to offer options to people. Hasbro has explicitly stated they don't expect people to buy every single one. But if they offer a blue car and a red car, they will get people who buy The blue car, and perhaps some purchases of the red car by people who wouldn't buy the blue car but now have a red option.

It all boils down to somehow seeing that some people don't want the same things that you do. Which is a lesson this fandom sorely needs.

I will most likely pick up this slingshot. And definitely wildrider. And there will be extras, and I won't care. For the record, I don't think the elbow joints in the combiners are strong enough to carry another deluxe member as a weapon.

This is not a commentary on whatever medication as you may or may not take, but just to point out what a ludicrous point you're trying to make.

I think my favorite part is when you're talking about losing extra money, as if this isn't the same fandom that pays $600 for third-party combiners.

Scrapmetaru is someone who doesn't get it and probably never will. I'm one of those people who don't want Alpha Bravo and felt that Superion would not be complete without Slingshot.

I'm glad that Takara and Hasbro realizes it too, unlike some people.

 

I still think Alpha Bravo is cooler than Slingshot.

I like the idea of more options when it comes to these combiners. Will also make me feel less guilty if I decide to just get Alpha Bravo. Even if Slingshot is a TRU exclusive.

Does anyone have an idea would it alot of the reveals be shown at NY Toy fair ?
Alot of last years releases were shown here so hopefully we get to see the Hasbro version of a few reveals. Even the Slingshot would be a good show for those that do want him. I for one am waiting for his release and im glad that they are taking their time because i still need to save after all these great and amazing 3rd party bots coming out

They rarely show exclusives at Toyfair (note: MP Bluestreak wasn't shown on the floor), so I'd imagine it'll be at either SDCC or more likely, BotCon

 

A lot of stuff we've seen hints at (including the confirmed Rodimus and Skywarp) were not shown. Does not make it any less likely - just means it is a little further up the pipe.

I am going to write Hasbro and see what they tell me. I've been hearing this for a while but I haven't seen anything tangible up to this point. I will let everyone know what I find out.
