"....we're aware of the many Bees out there, so we're slimming it down...." *KRE-O Bumblebee combiner and MEGA Bee incoming.* That's already 6 Bees coming out.
The plastic that's being used to make this garbage could have been used for some better articulation for the Constructicons. With Hasbro?
Can't tell if serious... but just in case, these toys aren't aimed at collectors. They're aimed at children. Quite clearly they sell well enough since the concept of simpler figures has been around for a bit now, otherwise Hasbro wouldn't be making them anymore. And I dunno about you, but if they used this guy's plastic, yellow elbows wouldn't look too hot on green Constructicons
So, how big is this? I think this is awesome for kids. It'll be a big toy for Christmas too probably.
Oh it's funny when adults whine like little kids. Wahhh I want my kids toy to be made for adults and I don't care what kids want cause it's all about me the ADULT who BUYS KIDS TOYS!!!!! Ohh the selfishness of adult collectors. I just imagine some adult standing in the pre-school aisle screaming fail at Thomas the Tank engine toys for wasting precious plastic to be used on Transformers. I'm sure someone will say I'm only saying this because I collect Bumblebee, but really this could be any other character, it doesn't matter, this is a kids toy.
But what if it was the G2 Constructicons? Eh? Eh? Eh? Thank you folks, I'm here all weekend, tip your waitstaff.
it is for kids, and kids love the big toys, they don't complain for the plastic or the gimmick, he is really a brickformer but he is more cool than the titan class Bumblebee, so yes, this will be going to my collection so any serious collector can whine because I will waste their precious plastic
50 bucks, damn hasbro is really going to test parents' wallet with this line. I also remember them saying they would not release leader class figures for TF rime because of the price, and what not, but this is Okay? Well I hope kids like the cartoon and buy the products, so we as collectors can have some TFs in the future.
It's 50 dollars but it's also as big (actualy slightly bigger than) as the 150 dollar Devastator, so Hasbro is probably hoping that parents will find it "good price for the size" and buy that ugly thing.
That's... not how budgets work. The plastic budget is per individual toy/pricepoint, not for the entire brand. Devy's components' articulation is for stability, size and to fit into the Titan Class price point. Not making this won't magically allow Hasbro to use more plastic on him.
I wonder if I can simply scan a picture of that toy's Autobot symbol with my RiD app instead of buying it
