For the price they are asking, I hope they include some new hands and feet. With PE's add on kit plus the price of Lonewolf, it's going to be more than FP Diesel. I also hope more than one 3p tackles this project as I find Lonewolf a bit boxy. However, I am glad that at least we have one choice coming out in the future. Finally, Menasor will have an abdomen! I was thinking about getting the Hasbro Motormaster just in case no 3ps took this on, but I will definitely choose Lonewolf over Hasbro's version now that it has been announced.

Crap shouldnt have clicked on this thread. Menasor was my favorite decepticon combiner but was going to skip the hasbro version because i cant stomach the look of the torso but this guy is making rethink things.

But then again after all is said and done menasor is going to cost 227 if one includes the pe upgrades.

I might just wait and save for Warbotron's Menasor.

G1Hexatron already said they Lone Wolf would have new hands etc. He will have a pic tomorrow. It is possible he just got going and accidently included hands, but I don't expect that (just don't get your hopes too high at this time).

Wow. This looks kinda cool. I was not happy with Hasbro's version. Mostly just the crappy paint job. But this looks way better in every mode. I can't wait to see some comparison pictures of this in vehicle mode with the Hasbro Stunticons and robot mode comparisons with this and the other CW robots.

i think this + the PE hands and feet would go well. i'd envision it like this quick, ugly mspaint bash :)

The MM looks outstanding! Can't wait to see it with the rest of Bold Forms limbs!

But I'm beginning to wonder if there's something wrong with me for finding absolutely nothing appealing about Hasbros CW figures. Everyone else seems to be gushing over them while I find myself shielding my eyes from the horror...what am I missing?

If i was a combined wars fan, I'd see this and be super excited. Then I'd see the price and is be super disappointed.

Must have missed this post. That's great news. Hopefully new feet will be part of the offering as well. After seeing the abomination that was Hasbro's Menasor, I was betting that someone would step up. Thank you Bold Forms. I look forward to the video review, and I don't mind if this makes Menasor bigger than the other CW combiners. To me, he was the toughest of them all. Think about it, Superion needed Omega's help to defeat him, and when Bruticus beat Devastator, Menasor put Bruticus down. Sure it was a sucker punch, but that's the Decpticon way.

Already have the FP version, but I actually think I might be down for this, too...

Be pretty nice if Bold Forms (or someone) could do something similar for Silverbolt. Really like the idea of making a replacement torso bot and making it compatible with the HasTak limbs, which are largely okay (especially with the replacement hands and feet).

If he were MP scale, he'd be auto-bought.

Nothing really, Eddie. As much as Has/Tak has improved with this line (and in many aspects they have), those figures still leave lacking. You are definitely not alone on this.

He's about the same size as MP 10 in bot mode. In truck mode, he's way tinier than MP 10.

Granted, I'm waiting to see him in color, but they show him as the same size for robot mode. Vehicle mode is smaller, but he looks great. Have no desire to get CW figures to combine with him unless they release their own limb bots, but I think I might get one of these just to put in my 'Con display. Final colors/look/QC turning out good, of course.

Yeah its weird. I can only assume the majority of people super hyped about combiner wars are just happy to have combiners that are so affordable and aren't as terrible as hasbros previous efforts (tfp abom and foc brut) and are happy to accept whatever flaws they may have.

Their is also the fact 3p combiner sets are the most expensive thing one can possibly purchase and so they require a willingness to make a long term investment or pay a very large upfront cost so understandably most people either choose to avoid them or can't justify the cost. CW is the answer for those people.

That said the limb bots aren't bad, I don't have any yet myself but all seem to be done well enough. Simple but decently posable and all their modes look good. The only figures I think are pretty terrible in the line are the torso guys and BoldForms have realized this thankfully. And the combiner hands and feet weren't so great either and so PE has addressed that also.

I generally prefer the CW figures because A. They're not a chore to transform B. They have heads based on the cartoon and I'm heavily biased toward toys that look more like the cartoon and C. The individual bots are larger than most of the FP/MT ones but at the same time aren't oversized voyagers like the TFC ones.

I'm probably going to keep Intimidator because he still looks nice as a display piece in combined mode but I'm heavily considering selling Uranos locally once I get my Takara Superion and PE set.

For masterpiece version, if any company ever made him, Ultra Magnus size would be about right.

i had the chance to fiddle with superion dragstrip and alpha bravo.

you are correct they are simple, but not stupid simple. Maybe complicated enough to get the job done would be the right phrase here? silverbolt was actually my favorite out of the trio it was a pretty solid fig good, but nothing ground breaking but the twist of having his upper body become the crotch was interesting but it makes for some akward spaceing in combined mode.

the combined mode was posable but only in the sense that it had lots of rotation points and ratchets. It seembed hard to get into any good positions though if that makes sense, I received those 3 and brainstorm for a friend and got tfc first aid for myself. After playing with all of them i actually found i liked brainstorm the most out of all them. Need to get one of them and park old brainwave somewhere.....

I think combiner wars is something that may get better as the line goes, the joint system actaully makes me think of the g1 combiner joints A LOT! simple yet elegent, but they leave some awkward spots on the torso. Not sure any one has come up with the best design for a combiner joint just yet
