In any case, you mentioned Blitzwing before, but there's nothing announced yet, right? I've haven't really stopped working since Monday morning, and with all the 3P news going on I wondered if I had missed something for a minute.

Blitzy, not yet. If Chigurh here gets a good reception I am sure they are considering him next bc character wise they're like bro's. He would be perfect at this height just hopefully they can find a great design for him. Octane happens to be my favorite triplechanger even if he has the worse alt modes but his character is my fav. Astro was a good way to start them off by DX9.

 

Yeah that's roughly generations leader class give or take a quarter of an inch? I know that's not by the chart for classics but I like the idea of Jetfire and astrotrain duking it out. Plus their blaster and Galvatron are great figs

 

Says on TFsource Apollyon 9.6 inches tall, this Astrotrain figure 9.5 inches tall. I just measured MP Soundwave, he is 8.75 inches tall. I like this for MP size. He will be my MP Astrotrain  .

Looks like he is proceeding accordingly. So the new paint scheme is looking dynamic & getting this. I am assumming the knees have those holes will have the vent stripes designs like the knees of Astro in this picture. That would be superb.

 

Even if they get the paint right, the figure looks to far off from an MP Astrotrain. Just like FT Perceptor and TFC Hound, the wrong feet can change a character. DX9 should have made the shuttle nose hide inside his legs light what GP and FT is doing with their MP dinos.

 

Yeah neither one of the 3rd party Astrotrains are even close to cartoon accurate in my opinion, but that does not mean they can't make excellent toys.

 

yea this guy is too over stylized to be an MP. good in his own right, but not to be mixed with mps. I love maketoys figures, but they're stylized versions of the characters and wont be mp stand-ins, as an example

 

I liked this guy when it first was anounced , now I hope that. Fanstoys , kfc or gigapower can takle astrotrain , this is not mp style .

I snagged MADLAW earlier than most people here in the States, and I did it by prowling on eBay. If you're more interested in getting your shit quickly than in paying the lowest price, ebay is usually a good choice.

 

He's fine for me. I pre-order him. Seeing as I cannot buy back Quakey I need taller decpts in the ranks. In most screen shots he is at Megs height anyway. I would of liked to see him just above Apollyon but this will do nicely. And I forsee a Blitz at this size coming from them.

Ignoring the mass shifting all together is essential especially when Galvatron is in Cyclonus alt mode's cockpit as his pilot, LOL. Even for classics/Legends fans, going by toon scale the UNICRON would have to be 5 feet tall but see you have to be flexible with which ever product line or scale of TF is your preference because it has to be adjusted for TOY purposes. So they made due with the one that came out by Hasbro ignoring MS. So for those who do obssess (why? I don't know)about that shouldn't bother having toys because they all break that MS rules.

Seems like this guy is closing in on his release date. Looks nice & I am in need of decept ranks.

I'd take it like that but I perfer if they covered the knee with vents. Both the vintage toy & the G1 cartoon look had knee vents so I hope that is the part they need to finish. If not we need a 3p upgrade to come along to fill that gap, lol.
