Man, I've wanted a Hound for a while, and this looks great. Color me excited.

Doesn't he look more large chug than mp to anyone else?

 

He doesn't feel MP enough to me.

 

It's like they upscaled the G1 toy and gave him articulation. Push me over, I think I've died and gone to heaven.

 

Welp found my next 3p purchase. Hound was always my fav g1 character. Only ones in his league are hot rod and prowl.

 

He totally needs to have his holl-gun as another accessory!!

 

Looks like the not-Revoltech hound, but happens to transform. Very awesome. Glad this is the better hound, as I want to have as many 3p groups in my collection as possible...
So far, looking at ft, mmc, mt, omnigonix, Xtb, bc, Daca toys, TFC... Cmon kfc, make something season 1 masterpieceish!

 

C'mon Maketoys, make with the preorders.  

 

I like the fact that they give people the option of cartoon look or a more modernized look.

It's nice but I am not sure I want to buy it until I am sure that Takara won't make MP Hound.

 

Then you should never buy any 3p product, because there is always a statistical chance a product might be made... In fact, if you believe in the theory of the multiverse, then it is guaranteed to have been made...

My advice to anyone on the fence due to "it might happen"... Buy the 3p, and if you need to, sell it in 3 or 4 years when Takara gets around to it... Meanwhile, you have a few years of an excellent figure in your collection, it encourages 3p groups to continue making superior products, and Takara still gets your money! It's a win win win win scenario.

 

I agree, if your decision on buying a third party product is whether or not Hasbro or Takara will make it, then don't buy third party figures. There's always a chance.

 

Headlights and mirrors are a little large.. But, it's a fantastic overall design. I really like how the spare tire clips to his back, great idea. I wonder if there will be a holo-gun or jerrycan.

 

This seems more like am upsized generations with. A maketoys design style than an mp

 

Yeah, classic look makes hound look depressed, not to mention his head to shoulder ratio is thrown way off... It looks too weird. It's fine for a 30+ year old toy, but today, just looks bad... But I do love that maketoys gives people the option to choose. That is fantastic. Now, those who want "depressed, pessimistic Hound" can have him, and those of us that want "optimistic, confident hound" can too! There is a hound for everyone!

 

Really? I can't see this looking any more mp unless "©2015 Takara" was stamped on the side.

 

Thanks for the comparison, this looks cartoon accurate, but this is 100% a case of where I never realized how stupid it looked in the cartoon before.
