Worst case scenario is Nautica gets drawn with balloon tits. (Which will be bad.) Otherwise he's not what you'd call a bad artist. He's better than almost every other fill-in artist we've had for the past year.

Also, him being a lolicon doesn't matter. Like, at all (Just don't google him). Being into those kinds of things does not = actually carrying out those impulses upon other people.

Besides, more than half of mtmte's tumblr, DA and even /co/ crowd sexualize Tailgate, who's a literal child. So it's not like he's some unique freak of nature here. The same happened with Animated Bumblebee before him.

That said, if/when Tailgate or Nautica become suddenly sexy, I will both laugh and cry.

 

"Evoking" and "exactly matching" are not even close to the same thing. A block does not two pectoral muscles make. I'm asking for examples that exactly match the level of curved anatomy given to femmes but applied to males.

Even if it's "biologically attractive", it's still subjective, as by definition, anything that only exists in the mind is subjective. Even if our biology put the attraction there, it's still only in our minds, Thus subjective. Also, being the majority opinion is also irrelevant. I don't understand where "exploitation" came into play, you didn't mention that. Regardless, exploiting, assuming you mean the "to use selfishly for one's own ends" definition in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Also, something or someone being exploited does not make it that something's or someone's fault. That's like blaming the crime on the victim.

That would imply that the female in question can't pose in certain ways without you classifying it as an "exploit", even though a male(or a female that happens to not sport the shape in question) could probably do so without you classifying it as an exploit. Also, what's wrong with exploiting attractiveness? If, say, a character is portrayed as wanting to show their body off, what exactly is wrong with that. Seems like it's pretty fair, seeing as the character in question is portrayed as using their free agency to do so. And that seems to be what's happening with Flareup... IMO, of course.

For me this might make me get into the comics faster. I think his art is great; I don't care that much for Milne or Roche myself and my top choice will always be Don Figueroa or Guido Guidi after him. But heck Sakamoto has expressed how much he loves the IDW comics and the work he did on Hoist the Flag looks great.
