I've been playing Wolfenstein: The New Order.

It's pretty good, but inconsistent. Really cool stages, then boring "find the objects" stages. Really easy sections, then brutal battles where it takes me 6, 8, 10 attempts to get past it. That gets frustrating REAL quick!

    I dunno - maybe it's just because I haven't played a FPS in a while.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon, just got Dancer, Thief, Scholar, Knight and Dark Knight up to Lv 7. I'm thinking about going after the Ninja job and training it up a bit before I hit the final dungeon and put the smack down on that little creep Rafaello

Advanced warfare is surprisingly fun when all you want is random combat. I got gold for the HBrA3 in that game and I'm very close to second prestige.

    14 to go...

Been playing the original Doom games for some old fashioned fun. The double barrelled shotgun is a dark Thing of brutal beauty and those level designers are pure sadist who must take a certain glee making the player feel out of their depth and tricked. It seems like in this age of regenerating health and auto saves that this type cruel level design is fading away, does anyone know of any modern shooters that have level design that has lashings of cruel booby traps?

Been slowly getting through The Evil Within.

Letterbox effect doesn't bug me that much, save for a couple instances, but it's fine overall. As the for the game, I'm enjoying it. Having fun making baddies heads explode into gooey chunks. This game certainly is high on the gore-o-meter.

Then the Spider Lady showed up. Now I'm scared. :lol

Just finished the demo for Blood of the Werewolf. I like the art style. Gothic cartoony. But it's not much fun. The story alone is enough to drive me away. It's like someone decided they wanted to tell a grim n gritty drama with these cartoony graphics.
Just imagine a Mario game about how Bowser loves to drink the blood of princesses & loves experimenting on the little Toad people, thus creating his army of Koopas. And he stole all of Peach's unborn children & turned them into his own koopa kids. And do that whole story while keeping the bright, cartoony graphics of the games. It doesn't fit. And that's how Blood of the Werewolf feels.

Earth Defense Force 2017; whoa I'm really surprise how I'm having a lot of fun blowing up hordes of giant ants and destroying civilian buildings along the way. The game lives up to the hype -EDF! EDF!! EDF!!!

    Alien Isolation (still)
    - just finished collecting all of the ID tags. A lame challenge, but the only trophies I have left to unlock are the ones for beating the game without dying once, and for unlocking all the other trophies. I think I'm going to take a break from Alien before I attempt that.

Grim Fandango. I've only ever played a little bit of it and having the whole thing now is a real treat.

Deus Ex Director's Cut on my second playthrough and this time I have to make sure I kill no one. Also is Thief any good? I've heard bad things about it but it looks like only the fans are saying bad things about it and I've never played a Thief game before.

Been playing Bayonetta, and it's insane. Like, I need to take a break after beating each chapter :lol .

And to think, after this I have a whole sequel to play through.
