Hahaha oh man, I knew CW was trash but this destroyed any hopes I had for this line. This was supposed to be the saving grace and its garbage. I didnt think id be sitting the WHOLE line out, but this new cheapass design team is full of surprises!

much better photo but not great.

Head is indeed small but not so small as to be a deal breaker for me.

Can't really divine much else from this picture.

The only thing I don't like is the arms. Look way to small.

The tiny head is a bad design choice. I'm thinking it has more to do with tucking it away cleanly in the robot... but hey, no doubt, as we speak, a 3P is correcting the issue and will make quite a mint. ;)

Mixmaster is all sorts of wrong down there. The primary concern is balance - the tiny toes may not be wide enough to balance the large bot in more than 2 poses. :banghead:
Additionally? Does the mixing barrel even rotate? Looks kind of glued/molded in place! :banghead:

Overall, a fine effort, and certainly more good than bad (awesome scale!) - just surprised about the tiny head and left foot. Seems like stupid, n00b mistakes from the design team...

    No. :inquisiti
    :lol
BTW, awesome Slipstream in your sig! :thumb

Wow, just saw this. Very interesting and definitely very G1. There are a few things that are a bit off-putting though, I thought the cab on Mixmaster, the combined head, and the actual vehicles on the shoulders should be a bit bigger, and the treads being different colours was also a little weird. I have high hopes for this set though.

While I have Maketoys Green Giant, I'm still very curious about Titan Devastator. This pic seems similar to the initial models of CW Superion and Menasor we saw at SDCC in that it may not be a 100% complete/finalized version of the figure nor transformed correctly. Even given that, it does look pretty good. There are some nit-picks like the noggin being small, but for what it is, it looks much better than I expected it would look. I'll eagerly await shots of all modes of each bot so I can really judge it and make a decision.

He could. I think most of the combiner components are on earth now and optimus is searching for the enigma

    You´re adorable.

In any case, I might pick up the guy, if 3rd party makers create a new head for him, perhaps a scout based Prowl triple changer or something like that. I like the toy.

At $150 USD I'm not sure how many kids are going to be getting this. I can't say whether I like it or not from this one picture, but I agree with those that say the head and the foot are both too small.... Purple hands would have been nice too....

Also, this is the third combiner I've seen that's leaning over??

I still feel like that's not the whole head; it looks flat from the back so I feel like there may be another piece that's going to be attached from behind. I could be wrong but that's how it seems to me.

Indeed. That Arcee that they gave us was one fantastic figure after I modified her hands to actually be able to hold both her weapons properly.

As for the "Age of Goldner" comment, that ties into to the companies business decision to let go in mass exodus of seasoned Transformers designers and developers in Winter of 2012. These brand veterans included such fine folks as Aaron Archer and Rik Alvarez, both well respected individuals and have been long sense thought of as part of are own community.

Though Aaron has been (respectfully) silent on his departure from Hasbro (until very recently after he joined PlayWithThisToo), Rik has made it clear in his own words on his displeasure on the current direction of the brand under its current division team.

Did you know that Generations Metroplex was the former brand teams final project and was meant to be a "fair well" to us fans after they were dismissed? Food for thought. Designs made by this former team that were good in the past remain in the past. This, alas, is a new age.

If you ever get a chance to talk to Aaron or Rik in a non-formal setting, such as in a pub after a Con, they can lend a world of insight.

As for Hasbro's Devastator being"cobbled together", I personally believe based upon what we have been shown that the figure posses all the short comings that have already have been so duly pointed out. It does not have to be as good as make Toys Giant or TFC's Hercules, BUT it SHOULD not have the perorations that it has.

It could have been better with little effort.

Naw. It's really not all that bad. I've seen it ten times worse in some other threads in the past. I just think that a lot of people are disappointed.

Remember, this figure was being built up (no pun intended) to be this years Magnum Opus by Hasbro. You know, That figure that "all G1 fans are just going to have to have!!!" kinda' figure. Then we got the reveal...

Crushed expectations sows disappointment. And how we each deal with disappointment..well, equals this thread. Some just hoped for just a bit more, like: more left foot, more forearms, and more head.

There's kids toys that cost more and do less.

Dude is Hasbro reps can't pose light, small figures, what makes you think they can pose big, heavy figures?

I kinda wish the were the same color as well, but the original G1 toy had them two different colors. It was the animation that messed it up.

Looks sweet! I'm hoping something can be done about the foot, but I'm in agreement that we might not be seeing the full head on the fig. Hopefully there's another piece missing!

    Otherwise, very cool!

Do people still believe that? If people always buy into the hype of any product, it´s always a road to disappointment.

Looks like it is mostly longhaul giving it the height tho. Look how little the arms are. It is hard to tell without a size comparison, so I could be wrong, but long haul seems 2 size classes bigger at the very least.
