Since my picture sucked, here's a better idea of how I think Mixmaster transforms. I had to think about which previous TF would be similar, and I figured it out. He's going to be like Armada Bendy Prime.
Not bad at all. Head needs to be a bit bigger but otherwise he's good. As for his other proportions the original G1 version's proportions were not that great so this does not bother me. If one does not already have a 3rd party version this may be a good alternative.
I'm not selling my Herc or my Green Giant for this, however... I actually like what I see so far! I like how the treads solve Hercs anorexia problem by giving him some noticeable mass for the torso. Bravo to that, although I can understand the complaints for different colored treads. I hope Takara reveals their plans for this mold before I commit to picking Hasbro's at TRU. It does look like the cab for Mixmaster is indeed the foot, but what a weird looking cab it is (bear in mind this is me posting on impulse after viewing the pic and without reading anyone else's comments so far that may have already addressed this). Congratulations to those of you who've been waiting for an affordable Devastator to have in your collection. Everyone should have a Devy in their collection: 3rd party, custom, official Has/Tak... Unless it's ROTF. We kill that with Napalm. Regular fire just doesn't burn hot enough to erase the horror that was/is Bayverse Devastator. I need pics of Hasbro Titan Devy, Herc and Green Giant, heck even action masters Devy, all jumping ROTF Devy at some point. Since I don't own ROTF Devy, I'm hoping other board members will do this, lol
Yeah, this too. I tend to fall into that camp - if the individual robots are MP-sized, then the resulting combiner should qualify as MP as well. Also, Devastator's size in the cartoon often varied. There were times that he was so massively large that he could grip autobots including Optimus in a single hand. Then there were times that he was simply about double the size of many autobots. I tend to use the 86 movie as the primary "canon" for scale. In that version, I remember Devastator being roughly double the size of Starscream and Megatron. That made a lot more sense to me since the individual constructicons were not too much shorter than Megs and Starscream in robot mode.
Seeing as how he proudly sports his TFW 2005 supporter badge as his avatar, I would imagine he does. Some people just want to be ants on the picnic though. lol
Do you realize all I'm saying is I don't like it? And that I'm responding to someone who chose to attack a part of the fandom then try to play it off with a bs excuse?
Hasn't anyone stopped to wonder whether or not the forearms are part of Scavenger and Bonecrusher's transformation? I've highlighted in blue where the black plastic extends all the way underneath the shoulders, so the reason the forearms are undersized is because they're integrated into the transformation. What do you think? Kibble or no kibble?
I'm inclined to think they're integrated; it looks to me like the hands slide into the forearms (though maybe not all the way).
Riiiight. So Hasbro supporters can attack all 3p supporters, but the moment you get called out on it, its taboo. Gotcha. That's reasonable.
I want to assume it's not integrated into the individual bots given it would match having to take off the chest piece just like the G1 toy and with other CW figures have non integrated hands. The hand looks like it flips into the forearm and the forearm/hand as a whole is a separate unit. Like Giant.
Anybody else getting tired of all of the vocal minority 3rd party (and some Hasbro) fans jumping into these forums and ruining it for everyone? Seriously, they're just toys. 3rd Party or HasTak, we're all here for the same thing.
shockingly G1 even down to the stickers on Bone crushers scoop I like it. I'm not crazy on how small Mixmasters cabfoot is and I would rather the treats on the arm guys move out of the way but that said its a great combined mode... but how well do the solo bot mods hold up?
FINALLY a better picture. That first news report on this toy with the block window shot was just sad journalism
Literally all I'm seeing is Hasbro fans insulting people that don't like it and when someone tries to defend their opinion they get labelled as 3p-buying-******s that hate other opinions
Roughly 2 and a half times Starscream's height, and Devastator is in a partly crouched pose while SS is standing straight. That still translates to 22", which is a lot more than 18".
It looks possible that the hands slide into the forearms, then the forearms fold into a recess between the treads and body of the vehicle. I just dont see how this would leave room for a robot mode. I realy hope they are seperate, so that we can get an easy replacement.
