Is it still available? I got the impression it was fairly limited in release and would probably be gone by now. Check with the retailer mentioned a few pages back that you have to email. They are the Toyer of City ;)

Same. Hoping they get it soon.

They're definitely still getting made and have another run coming soon.

I can't wait to get time to review and photograph KOB. It's just a great piece.

At first I didn't like the headsculpts, but in person they look pretty cool. The lion mouth is adjustable and I say it looks best when only half of the forehead is exposed.

I'd like a different face sculpt that matches the CGI renders used to advertise this. I was a bit let down when I got it in hand. It's not bad, but the cgi face looked incredible.

Oh yea! The batteries for KOB... Lr1130 cell batteries?

So what's the verdict? Toynami or KOB?

    Yes. It's in the instructions.

Listed as LA-1130... closest I can see looking them up is LR-1130, but seeing if anyone knows for sure since there are multiple Owners here.

KOB by a landslide... Build quality is so much better... I have the MP version from a few years back, and he is a floppy mess compared to KOB...

Yea I remembered :lol  I didnt even touch those and left them in the box thats why i never bothered looking for batteries. I think LR54 is an equivalent of that battery type.

Wow, is figured that it was DOA. I didn't realize that it was an actual, combining set.

And for the KOB battery question, apparently lr 1130 batteries will work. Ordered them off amazon since a two pack at the site is more than a ten pack there.

Is the one on the left like a powered-up version of Dancouga? (Gx-13)

If so, I hope they revamp some of the modes to make them lock in place better on the figure. :)

I prefer the all-plastic Toynami from 2008. I haven't had any trouble with looseness, and I enjoy the look slightly better. King of Beasts still looks great though. Can't go wrong with either.

I'm having a hard time finding these batteries in the dollar store near me. This size doesn't seem to be a more common one.

Anyways...finally got a chance to check out lion more and the weapons. I just love this set. Just realized even the tiny claws have articulation. Not a loose joint on my set. Very impressed. However, not all perfect. I will outline a few issues I had soon.

Not powered-up, it's the regular form but with better proportions than the SOC one. They're also working on a combining Black Wing.

Thanks for sharing that pic. I've heard about the Toynami issues and was excited to hear about this KoB. But when you pose them side by side in your pic, I find myself liking the Toynami aesthetics better. Toynami is indeed too lean, but the chest and head sculpt look a lot better. Again, just my opinion.
