I wonder what happens if you enter the Konami code? Or if the DULLARD Kode makes him tear Original Playstation Optimus Primes head off? Reading that back I realize it's time to sleep. It would be nice if there was a Sega CD accessory that powered him up into Galvatron too. And an Xbox that turns into Shockwave. Ship our loot Bbts! I'm going bonkers waiting for this guy!

bbts as well, but same price. I already have the initial Japanese release and want to pick this up as well for be US decor, but $120 is kind of steep...

 

I'm in the same boat. I would've preferred this one overall, but I got the mega drive version cheaper from anime export. I don't think this is worth $120 at all.

 

Ah it is good to see that the US will be able to get it... I mean it was really the only/biggest place that had the Genesis labelling.

 

Thought I'd add some pics of the Genesis version of Megadrive Megatron. I got mine yesterday from BBTS and I'm really glad I held off for this version. From the initial pics I wasn't as big of a fan of the purple accents, but in person I really do like them.

Also, the Genesis controller is based on a slightly later version of the 3 button that didn't have orange lettering on the buttons.

Being a Transformers fan and semi retro game collector, I had to get him. I think anyone else falling into that category would want one. I do agree about it being fairly small for the price, but I don't regret the purchase one bit.

I do wish Optimus was going to be a Super Nintendo, but I'm guessing the licensing cost was too high or Nintendo had no interest in it.

 

I sold off my Megadrive Megatron last month once this was available for preorder. Should be showing up tomorrow from BBTS with Warbotron Wirlwind.

 

I have the original release, if this was available at an import shop I would've gotten it. After the first release, I can't justify $120 for this guy again even though I'd rather the Genesis version.

 

I'm with you there. But I'm not too upset, I love my small collection of japanese games, mostly Saturn Capcom fighters, and I always wanted a Megadrive. I'm also a fan of alliteration.  

I can't wait for O.P. Optimus Prime. I'm playing Lunar SSS Complete to get ready.

 

exactly. I actually out in a preorder for the genesis version, but after sleeping on it I canceled it - I was already iffy with the original release at < $90, let alone $120 before shipping.

 

I definitely love this guy (outside of those feet). A shame that heels couldn't have just folded out of his toe section. Or things have just hard-pegged into position.
