    i'm glad new molds are being reserved for old combiner teams, not new ones.

    What are you referring to? Redeco of who?

    It's all original so far except the Prime / Motormaster mold, Hot Spot is a new mold, and so is Groove. Not sure who or what you're referring to.

    Hot Spot looks an awful lot like a combination of the back of a fire engine and the front of an airplane crash response truck. Why would you think this could be retooled into Onslaught?

    Personally, I'd like to see Hot Spot retooled into a new Inferno. Seriously.

    I think they are referring to the Fan Built Combiner not being a new mold

    okay, with some quick research; Hotspot appears to be a mix of the rosenbauer panther, and a maz-7310 with a turntable ladder

    Primarily because pretty much every mold in this line is designed with an obvious retool in mind, and because it's so much of a divergence from traditional Hot Spot that it's suspicious. Plus just imaging there were big cannons instead of a ladder, and suddenly you're looking at what looks like Onslaught.

    You mean in the center? Pretty sure that's just intended to be Motormaster and Blackjack.

    Anyone who thought Hasbro would use new molds for the fan built combiner, was sadly deluded. That said, Hot Spot and Grove look great.

    Hotspot and Groove look good...can't wait until they show bot modes...and maybe well get a new deluxe mold or two to round out the fan-built combiner...it'll have to be the right mix of alts to have my interest though...

    I don't know...I booted the last Nexus Prime from my collection...over time he just didn't seem to fit...but who knows if it looks good I guess I'd consider it...

    Probably because no money in the budget for a new deluxe mold. If it's any consolation. This probably suggests that for a potential future Combaticon set, Brawl will probably be a legends Megatron or Warpath recolor.
