I've been waiting years for a Transformer to have a Tractor Alt Mode.

Tie between Thunderhoof and Chop Shop for me. A swarm of spiders is just too awesome not to share first with.

 

Isn't that basically Reedman from Revenge of the Fallen?

 

Do we have pictures of chopshop? I voted for him because I'm not impressed so far with the rest and being a whole swarm of spiders is awesome, but I realize I've never seen him.

Toss up between Thunderhoof and Filch

 

From the bits I've seen so far... Thunderhoof. Just like his design(s)...and I could use a new tractor for my lawn.

 

From what little I've seen of the show, I would have to say Thunderhoof. I don't even care about the tractor alt-mode, I just love the look of his bot-mode and his name. If he doesn't get at least a Warrior class figure I'll be really dissapointed.

 

When you originally posted that question, No. However this image has recently been added to his TFWiki page so now we do have one.

 

Thank you but I'm not liking those legs on the shoulders. I guess thunderhoof is my favorite now. Still, a robot who transforms into a swarm/ flock is an idea that should be revisited in later series.

 

I still think the swarm of Spiders thing sounds like Reedman... though Chop Shop is a much better name. Never really liked Reedman as I believe it was some kind of place holder that they never got around to actually assigning a proper name to.

 

Now that you mention it...yeah Reedman and Chop Shop share some similarities.

 

Oh and Chop Shop has a much better design... Reedman looked like a praying mantis... from angles where he was actually visible. That dude was so thin he could not be seen from certain angles.

Another major difference is that the individual robots that formed Reedman's body also transformed into balls. I wouldn't really call them spiders either as I think the design was ripped off from the Star Wars Destroyer Droids but still it's a guy who transforms into a swarm of things.

They're the only two characters in existence right now who can transform into a swarm. So yeah, similar is a better way of putting it. There's really more differences than similarities. I just pointed him out because he is also a swarm. They may not be spiders but they are really tiny robots.

 

Indeed, a normal Transformer made out of smaller Transformers has great potential as a concept, even more than a giant Transformer made out of normal-sized Transformers.


But I agree, the kibble on Chop Shop in robot mode looks a bit off, due to the oversized abdomen part which also serves as an arm/leg, as shown below:

Maybe the supporting four arm/leg spiders could have been smaller with the torso spider being the leader.

 

If you look closer, it looks like the spider abdomens are actually shoulderpads-- his actual arms extend from the spiders' mouths. Which looks weird in its own way, but I think it at least works better than just having a whole spider butt for an arm.

 

I'm not sure Thunderhoof counts for this...with the antlers...and hooves

 

Those are literally the only animal features he's got, though-- without them, he'd look like any old humanoid Decepticon. At least compared to guys like Springload or Underbite, who have quadrupedal robot modes and look almost entirely beastly.

 

Well yeah Chop Shop has a much better design. It looks far more practical.

 

No, Reedman's design was more practical as in he was a swarm of miscroscopic bots that could infiltrate a secret vault.

Chop Shop is more Transformer-worthy, since he is formed from five spiders. But since he's a soldier and character I'd say that does make him better than Reedman.

 

I like Chop Shop the best. I kinda dig his four eyes and his unique transformation. Can he transform into a vehicle as well or does he only break apart into spiders?

I think I'm going to hold off on voting till I see a picture of Filch though.
