We recently saw the wave 1 figures (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Steeljaw) in packaging, and soon afterwards got word that they have indeed been released in Taiwan.

We also saw the wave 2 figure Sideswipe on display at New York Comic-Con 2014.

Now Entertainment Earth has wave 2 up for preorder, including a photo of Sideswipe in packaging.

I can't help but think Knockout is Sideswipe judging by his toy picture

I dont see why hasbro keeps wasting money on things like these. I almost never see them move from any store. The only things i see selling are the normal transforming toys...not the role play junk, these or even the one step things. Just wasted plastic and retail shelf space.

Agreed - this is junk. I thought Hasbro has said these items are really targeted at developing markets and not necessarily for the US (although they get too much shelf space as it).

It's grandparents buying these for little kids, not "fans". It's happened to my kid personally! :lol  They're just very kid-friendly, and they're BIG - two features that old folk flock to. America is all about more BANG for your buck, even if that bang ends up hollow and meaningless. Really, the problem is expecting so much for so little - until America hits that necessary economic diet and gets its out-of-control-eating under control, these sorts of things are inevitable.

But yeah, it's truly unfortunate that these cheap things take up so much space and Hasbro manufacturing resources - they're seemingly prioritized over all the other TFs! :banghead:

Amen. I mean i kinda get like the one step changers....young kids like 3 or 4 or younger may not get the normal toys but these and everything else are just unneccesary and dont even move at biglots or even ollies.

And yah giving cartoon network another tf show for them to cancel after 2 seasons is idiotic. Honestly someone needs to put cartoons back on normal over the air broadcasting weekdays after school and saturday mornings again. Not likely to ever happen but with so many people kissing cable, sat and even now streaming service i think its time to bring back catoons on the networks over the air.

    LOL...

There are probably better uses for a finite resource like oil...but what the hell. :)

My son is 20 months and he loves these titan figures. They're obviously not aimed at adult collectors.

It's kind of weird we've seen every other version of Sideswipe, except for the Warrior class figure.

    Small children love these things.

I'm tired of hearing Sideswipe = Knockout.

Even weirder is that Drift who is a guest character has a Warrior class toy coming out sooner than a Sideswipe who is a main character?

Well, it's not uncommon whatsoever for that to happen... with TFA, Lockdown came out a wave before Ratchet... with TFP Wheeljack came out before Ratchet and Arcee...
