So is filing down the bottom tab on the gold chrome knee pieces working? Wanna make sure before I get mine and start grinding away.

 

Double check for a problem before doing anything. My soar has zero issues with the tabs. Only issue he has is the hooks that hold the thighs together shredded paint like no other... Otherwise after a dozen transformations, everything has "broken in" nicely and all tabs and slots work as the good Fanstoys intended.

 

Don't go filing all will-nilly. Mine is fine out of the box.

 

Wow my red Soar just shipped and I was thinking of selling it. But damn, I may have to keep it. It looks so damn good in that picture.

Any word on when the red chrome beak will be available?

I just got my blue Soar yesterday and this, by far, is the best figure I have collected! The aesthetics in both modes is absolutely perfect. I have the same squeaky joint issue that everyone has mentioned but everything else is the quality I would expect from a masterpiece level figure. The only thing I am having trouble deciding is which set of wings I should use. The chrome looks fantastic and matches very well with Scoria, but I am a bit afraid of the chrome flaking off, and the silver wings look really nice too. Any suggestions?

 

I think if you like the look of chrome don't be worried... I've been through several transformations and poses and the wings are still super tight and have no signs of rubbing or wear... They really got it right with this figure... And every joint has loosened up very comfortably

 

Thanks man. Yeah, there's a lot of awesome figures out by various companies but I try to be very selective. I don't buy everything but these MP dinobots are some I just couldn't pass up. Same with BEER!

 

My swoop, figure has a loose "bird mode" knee joint. the screw is striped so it swings freely. i need the two haves to be tighter. is there a way to secure the halves without superglue? or an easy fix for the striped screw hole? Suggestions would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

when i messaged the retailer they said that it is too complicated a fix, to fix it without a full figure replacement. I know that is not true, as i already disassembled it.

 

Could you try going back to the retailer to see if they can get replacement parts for you? Dalianjj said he would be sending replacement parts to retailers at their request. Maybe if you tell them exactly what you need they can help you.

 

I had the exact same problem. I switched out the screw with a longer screw from one of the missiles.

They used a really short screw for the knee. It's just fine with a longer screw.

Oh, wonderful. Now TFSource wants me to ship the whole thing back at my expense, with the promise that they'll refund shipping costs if they're cheap enough. Highly disappointing.

 

He has the robot mode feet transformed incorrectly. That why he is having trouble standing.

Yeah I tried TFsource while they do some stuff right, but their customer service leaves something to be desired. And they are always snide or don't respond. I have a pre-order for Sever with them. Once that's done I'm never using them again.

 

TFSource lost me by advertising Source Points, bombarding me with reminders about all the Source Points I've collected and freebies I should be spending them on, then when the day comes for me to spend a handful of my thousands on the one not-piece-of-crap in the selection you see the fine print - points can't be used alongside stack orders.

In other words, if you're a long time repeat customer, AND if you preorder expensive products from them... you can't actually use any of those points.

 

They lost me when they told me I changed my mind multiple times on my stack order and removed my account. Since then I have saved hundreds of dollars by not using them, so it's all good.
