I dunno, that head plus the yellow/gold triangular chest decoration (made from Rodimus' spoiler, obviously) looks pretty definitively Star Convoy to me.

 

There is no question I would take the red-white-blue UM over the white Magnus any day. I concurred with original poster in a sense that I'll take white Magnus over a repaint of Optimus into a green bape, black convoy, the purple Evangelion, etc. This was the root of G1, Prime only repaint was a white Magnus back in the 80s.

 

If classic bumblebee has the CW upgrade, I would be presently surprised

 

Most exclusives aside from SDCC aren't even shown at Toy Fairs though. Toy Fairs are mainly for companies to show/entice retailer purchasers the new toys and toylines that can be ordered this year.

 

So a Leader AND Masterpiece in one year..? Big year for the City Commander.

 

I'm in for a Leader UM. I dunno about this new Voyager, but only One UM is going in my generations case.

(Well, two - I'm counting the small-ish FoC deluxe as Minimus Ambus, LOL)

Personally hoping for it to be not UM. I'll buy this monstrosity as long as it doesn't share a name with a toy already in my display.

 

Two mold reuses already, Motormaster and WhitePrime. Three if you count the inevitable Takara Nemesis Prime version of it. Optimus Prime's mold is already getting uncomfortably numerous.

 

It'll never happen, but it'd be beyond awesome if Takara held off on the black repaint until after the Combaticon's possibly happen and repaint the limbs as the RiD Ruination team to combine with Scourge/Black Convoy. Kinda a "What if?" thing if Mega Octane(Onslaught) got killed and Scourge/BC rebuilt himself to take MO's place.

 

"Beyond awesome" would be an understatement with that scenario.

 

Useing op mold for onslaught is dumb and never EVER should happen.

If I recall correctly,last year's UK toy fair had mostly the same stuff as US Toy Fair.Does this mean that we will see the US Toy Fair reveals a month earlier?

 

Us toy fair had substatially more iirc and photos were actually allowed unlike UK Toy Fair. IIRC we didn't learn much last uk toy fair but learned and saw way more from US Toy Fair.

 

You know, everyone is commenting on tiny Rodimus and the Optimus repaint, but what if this were a sort of repaint for a Star Convoy? Like, Hot Rod as a micromaster with a huge Optimus? The combined mode even has a yellow crest for the chest like Star Convoy. Yeah his head is white but they don't necessarily HAVE to use the entire coloring of the original toy. I can imagine them making a trailer that could split into limbs that could be very Star Convoy-ish. Just a thought.

I'm thinking that if they do a decent-sized Rodimus, they may save it for next year (the thirtieth anniversary of the original Transformers movie). What does anyone else think, Leader-class Rodimus Prime and perhaps Galvatron for 2016?

Besides Galvatron is becoming more prominent in the IDW comics and IDW Rodimus may also, ah, mature, by then. Between Generations Springer, Arcee, the rumoured Ultra Magnus, Cyclonus and others, Hastak do seem to seem to building Transformers movie-ish set of TF figures.

 

Here's hoping Galvatron is THIS year.
