    Ok, got it today.

    First impression, huge box.

Inside the box is Herc, one big gun, one goofy huge sword and a double sided xerox of instructions for all of the figures.

For those hoping for a KO with the quality of the Wei Jiang Nottlebots, you will be disappointed. The figure is really light...like REALLY light. It's not the worst KO plastic I've ever seen, but it's not great. Herc doesn't like to stay together, and when you put it back together it makes those horrible "I'm not sure if I just broke this" noises. There's already stress marks in some areas (like where the crane attaches on the back). The paint is sloppy in areas, like the visor, which is molded on. There is an LED light in the head, but the button broke after one push.

The articulation is limited as these have been simplified, and no it's not oversized. You can bend the elbows, but can't twist the hands, so dynamic arm poses are kinda out. In fact, he really doesn't like to pose at all, when you move one part, other parts tend to move. The fingers don't move at all, so the weapons just sort of hang there. (And there are no weapons for the smaller bots included). I did not try to transform it into its separate component bots, I didn't think it was worth the hassle.

Overall, for its price, it is what it is. It will make great custom fodder or will do well as a placeholder display...in the back...way way back...with much better bots in the foreground. I'll keep this until that CW Devs comes out and I'll give it to my pal who inherits all of my placeholders.

Thanks for the review... Think I'll hold off too... Especially since I was never informed it came into stock, despite it being placed on my "wish list". I know it probably sounds petty, but if I gotta check on the stock of my preorders or paid orders, I usually never do business with that company again. For me, the whole idea of sir toys' wishlist is to keep people from having to check back... So, I'll probably never go back to that site.

Can we change the title and remove the "high quality" bit since this isn't really up to the quality of the KO MPs and others.

wow - almost sounds like you are dissing sirtoys without ever doing business with them?

kinda harsh, as sirtoys has been stellar in the KO locating department for most of us. your loss.

Sorry, but it's not a diss, it's a completely accurate account of what happened. I heard about the stellar customer service... So I signed up... It's been several days since this has been in stock but still haven't received a notice as was told to me via both email as well as on my wish list comments. I've waited and waited, giving the benefit of a doubt that maybe 1.2 Billion chinese all added it to their wish lists too... Nothing. Sorry, but I've worked retail for years. If I tell a customer something will happen, it happens. I'm glad you are pleased with them, but I will not do business with someone who doesn't bother to contact me when they say they would. They don't care about my business, I won't give it to them.

Ive worked retail for years myself and this is why I dislike it. Customers have become overly needy and quick to complain about even the tiniest thing. "OMG I didnt get emailed something was in stock, never using them to order." It would take me less time to bookmark the page and click that vs signing into my email, scrolling through the junk emails to find the one I was looking for.

Congrats. You should be happy, I won't be competition for you for buying product. I think several days was more than adequate time for a response. You don't agree. Oh well. It's my money, not yours. Cheers.

Anyhoo... Would be interesting to see side-by-side comparisons... While $60 for this seems ridiculous, aliexpress often has sales, so maybe I'll grab this if it drops to $40 or so.

    actually, not trolling here, but...

it is a "wish list" not an "arrival announcement" or "in stock" list... when sirtoys has the item you placed in the wish list available, it becomes active and available...

for someone working retail, I would think you'd know the difference by now?

it is a courtesy from them to find stuff for you, not email you or every other person of things that just came in stock... you're kind of out of line here.

buuuuuuuuut - silver lining here - sirtoys reads this exact thread, I'm sure you wouldn't get business with them after your posts anyways... burning bridges and all their glory. ;)

Actually, he did tell me he would email me. Said it both in my original email to him as well as in the notes for the wish list. He failed in his promise. Simple as that. I'm sure for you he rescues kittens out of trees. Anyway, it's ot, don't want mods coming down on us.

I know it was said this has limited articulation... Can you get any dramatic poses? Lunges, that sorta thing?

I seen a demo somewhere? it's pretty simplified, with almost no articulation save the basic movements... the hands don't even rotate at the wrist...?

Ugh. Does anyone know if the Super robot-looking Domestic Devastator KO is of better quality than this?

    Probably not.

And webz, I think a lunge pose might make it fall over.

thats what i was wondering, but something tells me no, just because of the changes in some of the joints-leads me to think there are other compatibility issues with the reg and the ko

Ok, one more thing. I thought maybe I was a bit harsh towards the figure, so I decided to see if I could pose it...yada yada. Went to move his left arm and the connector snapped clean off. He is now in his final resting spot aka the garbage can down the end of the hall.

Ugh. Kind of happy I decided to wait and see what others thought. Sad it sucks that bad. Had some potential.
