He's pretty nice, and not much glossier than the original. Some of them do have the eyes painted looking up though. The original release had a lot of bad QC, which that wave was especially known for.

I did actually have that 2-pack when it first came out, briefly.
I returned it. :lol  And several others. Price was too steep for variants.

I might end up getting them loose, dumping Merman, and repainting the Aquaman. No rush, though.

Finally received my Mattel Doomsday so i think US collectors should be receiving theirs soon? The figure is massive!

I don't recall Doomsday being that big in the comics?! If I recall he was a head or two taller than Supes? But I'm fine with the size.

I think their Doomsday is too big. I think the Despero/Bane buck would have been a better fit than Kilowog.

Got my Doomsday from matty today,

I think he's a good size, better too big than too small (the leg spikes are the same length the right one just looks shorter in my picture because of posing):

Yeah that's what I think too...he's too big but the sculpt is amazing!

Nice pictures! That's my default Supes and Hulk too! That Supes still hold well after all these years. Another Supes I like is the DC Direct 'Last Son' (?) Superman...sorry I sidetracked but I was excited to see the figures as mine are in storage.

    Ordered Greg Capullo:

    Joker Red Hood
    Two Face
    Zero Year Batman

Still need to order Jim Gordon.

This is the only other line I have bought into heavily.

The last being Star Wars Black Series 6 inch.

I think Doomsday should be closer to the size of the ML First Appearance Hulk buck rather than the PITT buck. allew has him posed next to a DC Direct figure. Next to a DCUC Supes figure, he is way too big.

Eh, I think he's much closer in size to the modern day versions of Doomsday. At that height though, the difference between a DCD and DCUC Superman compared to him is negligible. Got mine today, and though awesome, I think I still prefer the DCSH version. I just wish that version looked more like his first appearance, so the DCUC could be the modern version.

Still a great way to end the series, and the cape is a bonus touch. Mine had a stuck torso and left thigh swivel, but a ten minute stay in the freezer fixed those issues right up.

Now to call CS and haggle some free shipping out of them.

Canceled my pre-order for Two Face.

Put the money towards Greg Capullo Jim Gordon.

Based on tracking Tuesday I'm expecting:

    Joker Red Hood
    Zero Year Batman

    Jim is mail 2 day.

    Most likely Wednesday or Thursday.

Holy moly - received my Doomsday a few days ago but finally opened up the brown box to look at him...HUGE. Even after you all said he was big and after seeing pics, it didn't register until I looked at him. Didn't even realize the box was for him since it seemed too large! I think I fall in the 25% too big category.

So, apparently we're getting a 3.75in line of New 52 figures, from DC Collectables:

Is that good or bad? I'm not all that familiar with DC figures, but it sounds bad. :lol

Well, it's got to be better than Mattel's Infinite Heroes line. So, there's that.

I'm actually hoping this line will do well, and we can a good amount of new figures, out of this. I really want a figure of DC's Frankenstein.

We're not getting a 3.75" line of figures from DC Collectibles (at least right now), DC is just polling interest in a potential release of old figures. Here's the official source:

DC Collectibles: From the DC Collectibles Vault | DC Comics

It's just a poll for right now. The 3.75" figures aren't even in the lead at the current time.

Nice job re-creating the Zero Year cover, with Batman and Red Hood. Too bad the cape isn't articulated to create the wing look.
