just bored and slapping parts around. looking to see if there is someway of salvaging the lame helicopter hasbro gave us for an Arielbot. i took a booster from a from generations jetfire, wings from cybertron sideways, and wings from an asian springer. thoughts? i haven't ripped out the propeller prop since i'm not sure if i'll go through with it.

I agree that the head portion of AB looks surprisingly like a space shuttle...go figure

 

well we all know hasbro is gonna use it to make blastoff.  

the proportions of it sorta make it look like one of them virgin galactic spaceships.

I think he looks more like a Ling-Temco-Vought A-7E Corsair II, aka G2 Terradives alt mode, than a space shuttle



And with silver bolt as an artistic interpretation of a Concorde I don't think it is much of a stretch to use the corsair II as slingshots alt mode

 

i can see either a space shuttle or even a military transport,like a hercules.

 

you could go with sponge's idea, then call him airazor, barrel roll, or skyburst, they are all aerialbots in alternate continuities.

Buy a firefly body use alpha bravos head on it and use the remains as a blades stand in

 

I like!the Space Shuttle, I think you should go that route.

 

Well now, you're 1/5 of the way to a Combiner Wars Bruticus custom. With another one of the same mold with a head swap you'd have 2/5.

 

Space shuttle = perfect for an Arielbot IMO. Either wing assembly looks good with it, but the straight ones are a bit more realistic regarding actual flight capabilities.

 

If you're intent on shuttle id find some new wings .it's working though

 

Anyone else notice that Fireflight's head could pass as Blast off or maybe Vortex?

 

I'm kinda seeing the Pan Am spacecraft from 2001

 

You could maybe replace the rotors with the radar dish from DOTM Air Raid. Sits much more forward, but whatever.

 

The helmet definitely has a vortex feel blades too for that matter
