Last night's episode felt nearly predictable to me. The only thing about it I liked was how the girls got revenge on the dad for what he did.
I agree that it felt predictable but I was just happy to have a little action again. They're starting to drop like flies.
Honestly, I'm loving Freak Show so much. How they're connecting it with Asylum is still a little eh to me, but whatever! Everything with Pepper in last night's episode had me in tears. I was glad to see the return of Sister Mary Eunice, as I loved her character. And Spoiler Maggie ratting on Stanley is pure yesssss . Oh god, and the preview for the next episode was ahhhh! Can't believe there's only two more episodes to go!
I have to admit, the end of last nights episode left my jaw wide open. It was a really good episode full of the end results of character development for a few characters. And only 2 episodes left? I hope they find a way to manage to kill dandy off in that time. I don't think I've ever wanted a villain to die so much in anything.
I love how they've managed to give each character their own story. Yes, some of the episodes are slower than others but that's been almost every season. You take the bad with the good and I tend to look at the overall story and, for that reason, I'm enjoying Freak Show. Maybe not as much as the first season or last, but it's still good. Pepper's episode was depressing as hell but so well done. You feel so sorry for her. Before this season even started the producers said a hint towards next season was in the first two episodes of this season. The only thing I can put together is that it may be about a serial killer (although that spans more than the first two episodes of this season). I wouldn't mind a new serial killer series to follow Dandy.
...and he has. Great new character, which is good because at the rate we're losing them there won't be anyone left by the finale. Poor Jimmy. Not a good day for him at all. Best lines of the season so far...."I'm going to perform some magic. Watch me make these two fingers disappear."
So... was that a 3-some... or a 2 1/2-some? ***************** And Doogie cut Maggie from the show. Nobody can claim that she didn't have the guts to continue; to bad she had to split.
Idk why but this episode really had that "final episode" feel to it, then the "stay tuned for scenes of the next AHS freak show" and I was like wtf. But anyways, definitely one of the better more crazier episodes. They really fucked Stanley up. And maggie...well, all I could think was how brutal it was. I really didn't see her death coming.
Great episode. Neil Patrick Harris has been fantastic. Makes me wish he had been in it from the start. When he separated the two halves of the box and Maggie fell out....literally, I was like, "Holy crap!". Next week will probably be a real bloodbath. There won't be anybody left at the end.
I'm wondering why they would even have NPH in the show so late in the season. I love his character and he would have been great from the start - why the wait? Why not have a little love triangle with the twins between him, Jimmy, and Dandy? I was caught off guard by Maggie's death and how quickly everyone turned against Elsa. I get why they turned but they simply took the word of Stanley over someone who took care of them for 20 years???? There wasn't even really a discussion about it - just "hey, she killed one of us so now we hate her." They've now managed to fit in almost all of the actors from previous seasons with the exception of the Taissa Farmiga, who was the main character in the first and third seasons. Haven't seen her at all in Freak Show.
Finally caught the new episode. So far this is my second favorite season. Other former cast members missing are Alexandra Breckenridge and Kate Mara.
Well, tonight is it. Personally, last episode was feeling like a bit of a rush. Here's hoping for a good payoff.
Ha! I said the same thing to my wife. After like the 12th shot, I was like "how many damn bullets are in that gun?"
