that's how i'm treating it.. it certainly won't fit in with my generations collection, it's much too large. and judging by those promo photo's, and other leader class figures, this megatron is just about the right height to stand next to MP10.

hasbro literally didn't bother putting on any of the details.. none of the red on the ankles, the line on the chest, the collar, and the black is missing from his shins and his knees.





it's not a major difference, but one definitely looks a lot more complete than the other.

as usual.. takara left the paint apps. i guess hasbro decided that rather than paint the details they'd throw in some nice gaudy chrome.. genius move, once again.

i really hope hasbro leaves most of the silver. but i could definitely picture an amalgam of silver and dull grey plastic.

 

I want to see some more pics of him standing with MP's for sure....

Or at least a high res. of the one we saw of him next to MP-10.

Especially MP-10, MP-11, and MP-13

 

It looks pretty sharp.

 

Official Hasbro version looks pretty metallic to me.

 

at least they pointed the cannon in the right direction but still dont know if this is worth picking up any i guess i'll have to wait for a review of this before thinking about getting it

I'm not sure what Takara could add to the color scheme if Hasbro's looks this good already.

 

I love the pistol design ques on the shoulders. It's really cool how much G1 Megs they were able to get without him actually turning into a gun. I love it.

 

I think Takara could just release their Megatron in Galvatron colors, that might get some interest. The Unicron trilogy featured their customary Megatron becomes Galavatron 3 times.

I'd be very surprised not to see at least a leader Armada Megatron in Armada Galvatron colors.

You know what they REALLY nailed on this one? The head.. The head is fantastic.. Probably the best G1 head we've ever gotten.

So I was just wondering is the Hasbro deco the same as this or it's the typical all grey plastic?

 

I might be crazy or the design might have changed but I'm pretty sure that this original pic of Megatron vs the one above confirms that he will have wrist swivels right?

No thigh swivels and a solid skirtpiece will leave pretty limited leg articulation

 

He very clearly has thigh swivels. The skirt piece might limit the forward bend at the hips, it's true.
