My daughter loves my transformers and I'm tired of how toys for girls are all kitchen sets and princesses. There's nowhere NEAR enough female Transformers and many of those that DO exist are problematic in terms of appearance/proportions.

    More options is more better.

    nice b8 m8.

I live in a crappy province with one of the worst distribution and we miss a lot of lines and we got Windblade. Just minus the comic of course.
Arcee and Chromia tho...hopefully they'll come in by the end of the month, as it's a new Quarter.

Could squeeze Thunderclash in there, as well, to balance out Nautica's chassis-shape and make the combined mode a bit more symmetrical.

Oviraptor as the Legends figure, or count me out! :p

Okay, this is where I might get controversial, so I'll preface it by saying: all I care about is whether the alt modes work, the individual bot modes look nice, and the combined mode looks win. Hit those criteria, and if I can afford them, I'll buy them.

If they're fembots, awesome. If they're not fembots, also awesome. If they're a mix of both, also also awesome.

However... is it not perhaps possible that some of the aggression you're perceiving is due to people getting fed up with that ongoing insinuation of "if you're not 100% behind an idea, then you're not a decent human being"?

If I was getting lumped in with genuine arses just because I happen to disagree about something, it'd wind me up, as well.

Well for me... it's quicker to type and I'm lazy. :p

Yes, I forgot how awesome it is to see a train travelling on the ground without tracks. Clearly, it is MY logic that is flawed.

Wouldn't it be funny if all the components were male, but the combined robot was female? :lol

Voting for fembots if it's an option because I like having more characters like me around. Male Transformers have always been more prominent but there's always been female Transformers as well, either intended or canonically.

Remember when Budiansky wanted to make Ratchet a girl and Hasbro said no? Yeah. Still, it didn't take long after for female robots to enter the mythos proper- The Search for Alpha Trion was only a year into the cartoon's fiction.
It's not like new female characters take old male characters away- and it's not like I only want new female characters in all fiction forever. I just want a balance closer to how things are for people, and not the canonically approved "one female Transformer for every thirteen Transformers." :\

Spaceships and trains are different in size. You want to point out the flaw in that logic too?

If I can buy that an alien species can have facial hair and robot foxes, I can buy that trains don't need rails if they're alien trains.

    I agree with this.

    I also agree [/quote]
Fair point. I want more fembots too, but I do agree with this.

It is, and I also am.

Malebots doesn't have the same ring to it.

I vote for a jet combiner made entirely of Slingshots.

"I'd like the new character to be a girl."

    "What, another one?!"

    Only if they're all dicks.

Anyone who thinks a fembot would have "skinny little twig-
legs" to look feminine, and would be "too weak" for a combiner need only look at this:

The VF-11MAXL. Very feminine, but the legs can certainly support the weight of the rest of the mech. Heck, like 3/5 of the entire mass is leg.

And aggressive attempts to swing the balance completely the other way, promoting ultra-feminism is not the way to go either.

Matt, I'm a big fan of your work. I've even met you once at a convention. I appreciate your stance and what you are trying to accomplish. Don't take this as being anti-fembot, anti-feminist, or anti-woman in any way. An ALL fembot team would not fly. It would not sell. It would be a failure. Mix the team up. Both male and female characters. I am not against that at all. I am against the raging ultra-feminism that this has brought up.

We can solve it the same way everything should be solved: stick "hover" in front of it.

    Hover-train.

    See? Foolproof! :D
