Except there have been female Transformers since season 2 of G1, so I think you're wrong about them not initially meant to have sexes. As for the "G.I. Janes" , I think there should be more women characters in G.I. Joe, to better reflect what is happening in our current armed forces.

There are a lot of female Transformers fans, even if there weren't what's wrong with "grown men" wanting variety in their characters?

I'm all for more Dinobots, but I'd rather they be their own faction with new molds than a combiner set. Give us deluxe-sized species like Parasaurolophus, Styracosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Dimetrodon, Therizinosaurus, etc!

The minority's aggression towards the idea of an all-fembot team confuses me. How is this some sort of threat to you guys? You have 30+ years of male TFs and male combiner teams and male bots linking up with other male bots in increasingly intimate ways. How about the girls get in on the action for once?

This hiding behind some sort of outcry that your hobby is being co-opted, that you're somehow "above" feminism because you're ignoring it...not a good look, kids.

quite into the nautical idea, to counter point the seacons (after27 years!). Have them as Cybertronian/Camien boats, cos we get a few boat formers an fembots (only 1 scramble fembot?). plus increase the chance of a Seaspray legend.

Plus a back story for Nautica, so could live with that.

 

I've always wanted a combiner made from mythological creatures (sorta like the Terrorcons) but with a Dragon leader/torso and limbs from a Phoenix, Griffin, Unicorn, Sphinx and/or Pegasus (maybe one of them could be a legends class). That'd be an Autobot combiner.

The Decepticon equivalent would have be Greek mythology influenced and consist of a Chimera, Manticore, Medusa, Harpy and Minotaur/bull limbs with a torso from a multi headed Hydra.

It'll never happen of course, sigh!

 

I would create a new team like...

Big Daddy Bob the Builder: The Cobfather. Construction vehicle. Loving father figure. Hard working farmer. Forms the head and torso

Big Momma CAN-aloupe: Once a princess, she left her her family and rich life style to become Bob's wife. She turns into a giant melon. The right leg.

Big Brother Thug Boat: The Codfather. Turns into a boat. Thuggish, rude, with lots of attitude. Forms left leg.

Little Brother Zero-Hue: Zero-Hue turns into a manatee. Forms into the right arm.

Little Sister PortuGull the Gouger: Psycho-bitch and cannibal. Hates you and wants you deader than dead, you disgusting sack of slag. Speaks with a portugeese accent. Turns into a seagull. Forms left arm.

And I dont see why wanting more than 4 female characters in the IDW stuff (since this new combiner will probably appear in the comics) is not a good idea? Versus the 125+ male characters.

 

Don't even lump me in with those neckbeards who are anti-fembots. Creating a character like Windblade was cool. Lots of new fembot toys recently (Arcee, Chromia, Windblade, Strongarm) is cool. My problem is people going too far with the fembot thing. Too much is too much.
