I just hope they took some design cues from the 3rd party groups when designing these guys. I MUCH prefer the way they used the treads for the forearms on the TFC bots over the G1 way of making the forearms.

Possibly. But they will almost certainly do like both MT and TFC did, in having Bonecrusher and Scavenger sharing (half) a mold.

once a name is gone, it's gone. in the case of Decepticon Brawl or Special Ops Jazz, the name isn't gone but it's so generic that it doesn't hurt to throw the prefix there.

Just confirmed on tformers from seibertron.com

CONFIRMED - Generations Combiner Wars Devastator Set In Toys R Us Computer Transformers News Reviews Movies Comics and Toys

the have a pic of the listing, but not the toy

Thanks to Seibertron member william-james88 for taking these images of the Toys R Us inventory system. While not all the details can be seen clearly, the line and product name are visible, as is the reported Canadian price of $179.99. New with this infor is the retailer's cost per item, $120, or about $100 US Dollars. While we can't say if these numbers will be directly applicable to the US release, it gives us a good look at the difference between the store's cost and what we pay.

Not accurate. It's only gone as long as the current trademark owner continues to renew the trademark. If teh current owner doesn't renew, Hasbro could refile the trademark.

Some potentially confidential info on that screen, pretty dumb to post that. We now know that TRU Canada's markup on this is 33%, cost is $120.

Not that I care, but I'm sure some people will get all upset about it.

LOL. I can see someone now. "How dare TRU make any profit at all. I should be able to get my toy robots at what they paid for it. Not a penny more. Hasbloooooow!"

The profit margin on higher cost items isn't as high when it comes to toys thats why alot of the higher end stuff is hard to stock. The killer here is the conversion rate because the dollar is so strong right now. When I went to toy fair the first time with my friend who owns a store I got my first insight into the ordering and profit margin part of the business. He operates a very successful magic the gathering store that branched out into online sales and he carries a large array of action figures, pop vinyls, ect ect. You will usually pay say 5 dollars for a 10 msrp toy but your profit and overhead comes out of the 5 you made. The canadian toys r us are definitely going to make a lot less than their US counterparts. TRU knows this so when they made the metroplex purchase they bought a set mount and distributed it to their stores. I can tell you there weren't many to go around. I only ever saw him once in the NYC area in a toys r us and once in a Walmart. I personally got one from botcon and the other at SDCC.

I know people sometime say Metroplex wasn't a success but I know after a few weeks of his release, I NEVER saw one in my area again. Total sell out. Never understood where the failure of the figure rumors came from.

Waits for some guy to post picture of his TRU yesterday. That TRU somehow ordered 40,000 of him and only sold 100. The store uses the boxes to section off parts of the store.

The IDW comics has Prowl being able to combine with the Constructicons, replacing the upper torso bit and giving a new head to the combiner. So in response to that we're hoping to see a Prowl able to combine with this new Devastator.

For those arguing that they'll lose money for this set, and use Metroplex as an example on selling poorly please remember Botcon 2013.

BBTS had this at the convention:

And they sold out within a few days.

I guess in the comic prowl is the head of devestator now, but this set won't have prowl according to "insiders", but people keep bringing it up anyway.
