Thanks! It's actually been a really fun process to make my vision a reality. I totally see why interior designers love their jobs (not implying I'm as good a professional, but I think I did a decent job!).

    Also, here's a quick update:

Always been a fan of Batman Beyond, so I'm glad to finally have a decent representation of him!

Also got Windblade. Really cool figure, been waiting on her since she was announced.

Finally, I got inspired by a fellow Lego collector who used a shadowbox with custom shelves to display minifigs. Thought it was a cool idea and give it a shot.

    Oustanding!

So sexy, clean and elegant; just how a display should be.

...and your Ode to Childhood write-up is just as amazing. I feel the same way.

    Dude, that looks so cool.

Love the matching shelves, frames, and furniture. Very modern. :)

Always love seeing a collection room where the setup looks as awesome as the figures it houses.

Yea, Detolfs are pretty awesome. But to be perfectly honest, I'm now more of a fan of the Besta units than the Detolfs. Bestas are just so much more classy! Plus, I wouldn't say my wife SUPPORTS it...just, now she doesn't say anything positive or negative about it. Indifferent would be a good word, lol. She does like the way the room turned out though.

Thanks, but like I said, I can't take all the credit for it. Some other guy on another website did it, and his looked a bit better than mine.

Thanks! Glad you like the collection and the write up. I think most of us collectors are just looking for a way to recapture our childhoods.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was going for; a modern theme. Also, I love seeing collections where the setups were just as nice looking as the figures, so I tried to model that. Too often do I see collections with thousand dollar figures on twenty dollar Walmart shelves.

It took A LOT of will power to both cut down my figure spending and sell off my old figures in storage. It also took a lot of will power to actually save all that money for the new shelving systems. I figure if I'm willing to plop down $100+ on a 6 inch action figure, then I can at least save up a few hundred for shelves.

Small update. I finally got around to taking pictures of the individual shelves. Forgive the poor cropping job, though.

Very clean, great looking display. I use the besta shelves as well with my displays. What kind of lighting did you use for your detolfs?

Sorry for the late replies guys. Forgot to keep up with the thread.

Glad you like it. I'd be interested to see what kind of display you came up with. I saw your current collection and it's freakin boss man. I love the white Bestas!

Thanks. I use some remote controlled LED Lightmate puck lights. They're okay, but the batteries don't last as long as I'd like. Even with the rechargeable batteries I have it's becoming a hassle. I'm thinking of getting some LED strips, but I'm not sure which ones I should get.

Also, I bought a whopping TWO more Transformers before 2014 ended. AoE Snarl and Generations Arcee. Arcee is frickin perfect!

Happy (late) New Years you guys!

Thanks, glad you think so man!

No thank you. I am thinking about changing the lighting though. Constantly having to recharge batteries for the puck lights is getting really old, really fast.

    Thanks bro.

Just changed out one of the shelves. I'm loving my FoC Bruticus now.

    UPDATE

Here's a quick update with what's been added as far as my figures go. 99% of the display case arrangement is the same, but I added a baseball display case over my accent wall to act as a Legend of Zelda display.

I also started adding more Batman figures in the collection, so there's that.

Thanks for all the kind comments as well! Didn't expect to have so many positive comments to go along with these pictures. :D

What are these? What are the dimensions? They look like they might be handy for 6" scale batmobiles. Are the shelves over 24" wide?
