Im fine with the scale. The game model was around the same size [if not exactly the same] as Optimus so him being a little taller than the dlx foc prime toy is ace in my book [I dont mind him being a little taller. But I think voyager sized would be a bit much. A little shorter than Grimlock will do just dandy]


I think this thing looks really really good. I really like the foc design and they captured it nicely!

 

It's kind of sad that hasbro couldn't do this themselves, I would have even been willing to pay voyager prices for it.

 

I guess my lack of appreciation for the size is also my way of saying I wouldn't mind someone making larger versions of WfC/FoC Prime & Megs too, if FoC is really going to become a thing with third party companies.

I would agree with this if we didn't already have the combaticons (plus boosticus) and the Planet X releases, but I think now the scale is pretty much set. At this point I'd like to see legends class renditions of sideswipe, bumblebee, jazz, cliffjumper, stunticons (with optional combination), wheeljack, bluestreak, prowl, Rodimus, Sunstreaker, and arcee. Scout-small deluxe versions of ironhide, slipstream, silverbolt, air raid, hardshell (bombshell), skrapnel (shrapnel), cyclonus, and slipstream. Regular-large deluxe versions of megatron, motormaster, warpath, scattershot, demolisher, landquake, perceptor, springer, and FOC Megs. (All of these with their obvious repaints included) I also wouldn't mind supreme class renditions of metroplex and trypticon, some game styled constructicons (possibly based on the recent IDW design that borrows heavily from the games anyway), and a 3p release of fakebusker's minions and weapons.

Edit: that last part being done only with the permission of the designer.

I'd say yes... but I'm darn sure other pics showed the Cassetticons on display still so.....

Mebusta is neat, but aesthetically he sticks out... and also he's a pricey upgrade that slaps on a not-so-great figure. Frankly I'm surprised more folks haven't complained that the core Magnus figure's not worn out due to the weight of that armor.

He's a small voyager considering he's next to AoE Prime.

Maybe... though TBH, given the initial backlash from the blatant design theft... If it is a new team... you'd think the backers for them would simply rebrand to avoid the association to the older team.

 

This is amazing news! Alt mode looks accurate. I'm glad he looks slightly taller than WFC Optimus since that's the one I choose to display. Although, I wouldn't mind UM being even taller. I'm still going to buy the Meksuta upgrade since it was never meant to be a WFC/FoC figure.

If this does catch on then regardless of my sentiments on it they should do a Motormaster as the two have similar looking character models. Also if as pointed out Prime and Magnus ARE the same size then the next thing I'd like to at least see is a comparison with WFC Prime

can someone fill me in to what designs they stole? did they admit guilt? i don't want to perpetuate rumors or anything, but ripping off people's work is a BIG deal breaker for me. i dropped mainstream comics years ago when it was revealed some of Marvel's big-named art talent were nothing but frauds using lightboxes.

 

They stole fakebuster83's designs from Shapeways. This mold (so far, at least) seems original, but we'll see...

 

I hope this happens. I'm not overly fond of guilty as a company, but ultra magnus was one of my favorite designs character wise for the games. This looks damn close, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled with it.

 

He's smaller than I thought. I'll wait for definitive photos of shape and paint and to know its price before deciding.

For now he's on the "probably yes" list. It's not like it was a Planet X model, those are on the "preorder it already!" when the first prototype pictures show up (meaning Summanus was preordered on day 1 and I stared the countdown for Quirinus).

 

Deluxe...I got excited for a full on Leader class.

 

Meh...I like the Hasbro FOC Magnus enough. I'm a Huge Magnus fan...but this is a pass for me.

 

Man people are extremely picky about some things…

 

Hopefully someone else will give you more detail but the short version is they stole pieces from several people including people on these boards, and tried to sell them as their own. Then someone probably associated with them came on the boards and insulted us and insisted it was fine when there was proof they were stolen without consent of the original creators.
