This is a quickie I whipped up while fooling with parts... I may or may not paint him, but I thought I'd share. Enjoy:

Thanks mate. When I tossed those Cliffjumper arms on him, I just liked look of his bot mode's proportions. He looked lean and athletic. Then I played with his altmode... All that took was to cut slots into his torso, so I did it. I don't have a name for him yet, but I think I will use him as my next Autobot leader to go against my Powered Convoy.

This is the sweetest "Frankenstein" custom figure I've seen in quite a while. Well done!

 

this is really, REALLY cool. I am in love with the look it has in both alt and bot mode. Only thing I'd paint would be the feet...I'd leave the rest as is color wise, maybe try and match up the back wheel covers to the front (always loved the wheels on WFC Bee/CJ)

Sometimes the best customs are the result of cobbled together bits and bots.

Cool, is this mostly "plug n play" or did you have to mod it?

Also I can place all the parts except the head, who did it originally belong to?

 

Wow that actually works far better than I would have expected it to. Really nice job. I'd paint it though as seeing that chest in red screams Optimus to my eyes.

In the setting that I am placing him in he will be the Autobot Leader, without the Matrix (as that was discarded into space) after Optimus Prime destroyed Megatron, defeating the Decepticon army. Disgusted and grief stricken by the lost of so many comrades. Feeling that the cost of final victory was much too high, the jaded Prime ripped the Matrix of Leadership from his chest onto the ground and falling to his knees, slammed his fist upon it, hoping to destroy it. Instead, the impact caused a explosion of blinding light, throwing both Optimus and the Matrix into space. On that day both the Autobot's greatest hero, and their greatest relic were lost...
Decades later, the being once known as Orion Pax, then Optimus Prime, returned to Cyberton, and laid to waste an outer province...now calling himself "Convoy".

yeah all the parts are just plug-n-play, but you'll need to cut into his torso to create slots for the tabs on Cliffjumper's arms. I did it with a hot knife, but I'm sure if you have a dremmel it would be better.

RiD Grimlock? The Excavator? Oh wait you mean the new figure yes? If so, I do not know...I do not own the figure, nor have I seen the line in stores. The shelves are pretty bare here... I am still looking for an AOE Galvatron, and the Action Battler version of him.
