Usual pic but using different lighting, really could do with a lightbox or a better setup at least.

No way! We haven't seen any of that yet (at my folks in Worcestershire now). Supposed to be driving back tomorrow...

Oh, and I finally just placed my order for MP Star Saber just now. Thanks to all who have given me advice on this previously! They still have him available for pre-order at HLJ for approx £75 so I figured why not? :)

75 decapitated dingos, that's pretty cheap but he's still a bit of a none character for me, but I am getting Exhaust.

Hey guys, I would like to ask a question directed at the customisers amongst us. I am very inexperienced when it comes to painting figures, and honestly I have only really ever painted gundam models, and rarely used the air brush I bought last year. I used to paint with Humbrol enamel paints, but now I have switched to Tamiya acrylics. Can you give me some advice on how to thin them, how to clean them off figures (I.e. For panel lining) without damaging/disfiguring the plastic? I need a cheap method, but a lot of what I've googled talks about chemicals I don't know about, and are mainly from people in the US where they seem to be readily available. I've heard something's about window cleaner and nail polish remover, but would appreciate some help and advice please.

Another question, once painted, what do people use as a clear coat to protect the paint work? And can I use it in an airbrush without it getting clogged up?
    Thanks in advance!

Oh wow!! I absolutely love snow, but only if I don't have to be anywhere, if I do it sucks.

I can't help you in anyway with anything to do with airbrushes, for that the more experienced chaps will have to chime in.
What I can say is I've warped/melted the plastic on a figure using nail varnish remover, so I can say avoid that.
Isopropyl alcohol(stronger the better) is good for removing factory paint apps without effecting the plastic at all.
I also use it with acrylic paints to thin down the paint. But like I said this is all for hand brushing, airbrushes I know bugger all about sadly!

I will admit that I was on the fence about him, but when I saw the price I thought 'what the hell?'. If I don't like him I can probably sell him MIB in a few months for more than £75.

I do think he looks pretty cool though, and it will be nice to have another BIG figure. I am going to have to brush up on a few episodes of Victory in the meantime. :D

This will also be my first purchase direct from a Japanese retailer. Go me.

Sorry if this has been discussed lads but i just got combiner wars bombshell, thindercracker, and windcharger and was wondering if they can combine with the other figures? I thought they were suposed to become chest armour for ultra prime but theres nothing in the instructions and i cant figure it out.

I was sure id seen a picture somewhere of windcharger attached to optimus' chest.

All in all he should not be more than 100 GBP shipped EMS.

My order of Magnus, Bumblebee and Legends Whirl was like 27 pounds to ship, so I'm guessing a figure on its own will be less than that.

Watch out with isopropyl alcohol, it can be deceptive, it is fantastic for stripping paint and adhesive, but it can eat through some clear plastic in very short order. I've stripped the paint from a G1 Wheeljack roof and RTS Tracks roof no problem, but small plastic joints like on Prime Bumblebee and RTS Jazz it just dissolved.

Always better to use the same brand thinner for the paint you are using. Most of the time it's just distilled vinegar
