Beast Machines had the best final episode of any TF series EVER.

Animated is the greatest TF TV series.

Car Robots (in Disguise) is the best toyline because it combines some underused molds (the flip changers and Spychangers) with some awesome new ones (Fire Convoy, Gigatron) and the transformations are almost identical to the show. Perfection.

TF Prime sucks as a line and a show. The Beast Hunters "story" is the worst offense.

Optimus should've stayed dead after the 86 movie.

The first movie is terrible. The robots are not characters at all, and the main villain doesn't show up until 30 minutes left in a 2.5 hour film. From a character standpoint, the films have gotten better each time. Age of Extinction is the best film.

Every TF series has at least one really great episode (yes, even Energon).

Bob Budiansky, not Simon Furman, is the greatest TF writer because of the foundation he layed.

I completely agree with you about the movies getting better over time and AOE being the best. I don't consider the first one terrible, but it's definitely overrated in my opinion.

If I had to pick a favorite show it would be G1, but it's not the best. However, I totally agree that every show has its good episodes.

I hated that in Beast Hunters the only actual living Predacon was Predaking. I liked Predaking, but there should have been at least a pack of those mechanical monsters flying and charging around. It seriously should have been called "Fossil Hunters."

Now for some of my unpopular opinions:

Humans or at least some sort of non-Cybertronian species are needed in Transformers fiction for the most part. It enables there to be a "robots in disguise" aspect, and it also gives Transformers fiction a sense of mystery. That doesn't mean there aren't stories without humans that I enjoy, but I do think it's important in most cases.

I would rather have Unicron be created and controlled by the Quintessons or Primacron or another race than be an evil deity.

I love Starscream, but I thing his backstabbing is overdone and overemphasized in a lot of fiction.

I hate the idea of having humans or Nebulans as Headmasters/Targetmasters (not sure if this unpopular or not, but what the heck).

 

Yeah, those are REALLY unpopular around here...  

 

I'm not a fan of the whole we need a stinger figure. He was such a minor character. I shouldn't even call it a character because he had no personality and was only used to have a cool bumblebee fight.

 

Most people think the first movie is the best. People sure as hell don't think ROTF or DOTM are best.

 

And sell his soul to robot Satan. Don't forget that.

 

Until AOE, DOTM was my favorite tf movie.

 

I think Armada's dub handled Megatron and Starscream's character a lot better than in Micron Legend.

 

I don't hate Airachnid. I actually liked what they did with her. She is an irredeemable, sadistic spider lady who hunts because she loves the thrill of the chase and the pleasure of the the kill.

I just didn't like what they did with the character in Season Two.

Also, would have enjoyed to see Airachnid actually being more of a rival towards Jack than Arcee. I don't know why.

 

Seemingly unpopular opinion: I'm sad Transformers Universe is closing.

 

I'm more morning all of those concept character ideas like Duststorm and all those designs that will never get put to use.
