It's that way pretty much everywhere that's not the US. Australia has deluxes at $25-30AUD, voyagers at $45-50AUD, and we haven't even gotten the past 2 years generations stuff. Hong Kong have deluxes for around $24AUD. Malaysia, as mentioned previously, pay 2-3 times the price for the same product.

It always gets me when members in the US complain about prices going up from $15.99 to $16.99 for deluxes, or something like that, when most countries would kill for those prices on TFs (toys in general).

Aren't Lego prices in Denmark, where they make the stuff, exhorbitantly higher than US prices?

You're thinking of going from $9.99 to $16.99 for deluxes, and $14.99 to $24.99 for voyagers... I think nearly doubling the prices since the beginning of the movies warrants complaints, especially when we do pay higher prices for Takara imports.

I don't think Voyagers were $15 at any point; you're probably thinking of the defunct Mega size class. Also, Deluxes are $14.99 at most chains, and can be had for less with coupons and sales. Voyagers also vary in price. Wal Mart has movie and Generations Voyagers for $19.99 right now, and HTS does as well.

The Deluxe price point started in 1996 though. I'd say an increase of $5 over almost 20 years is pretty reasonable!

Exactly, so why even bother hyping up the fans if you're just going to cancel or short pack it?

The Voyager class is today's Mega, and even though Armada Scavanger was neither Mega nor Voyager, he is the same size as Voyager class figures and the price tag on the box I have says 14.99. Deluxes are 16.99 all across Nashville. If you're going to apply coupons to modern prices then apply it to past prices as well, otherwise you're making a biased statement. So $14.99 verses 8.99 is still quite a difference. Voyagers here fluctuate between $22-25.

Today's Voyagers are somewhere between ye olde Mega and Ultra. If you want an argument at least be accurate. Springer, Sandstorm, Whirl, Sky-bite, Roadbuster, and Brainstorm are all far larger than any Mega ever was. What became Voyagers were, on average, at least $19.99. Deluxes were $9.99 not $8.99.I was working retail at the time.

In Pennsylvania and Maryland both Generations and AoE Voyagers are $19.99 @ Wal Mart. AoE Voyagers are $19.99 @ Target and Generations are $24.99. Even TRU'S Voyagers are $24.99. HTS Voyagers are $19.99 and $24.99.

AoE Deluxes are $9.99 @ Target and Wal Mart. Your region might just be expensive.

This is officially the dumbest argument I've ever had.
