Yes indeed. and again my main Issue is that to pre-reg I Have to Fax the US... I don't own a personal fax, (hell I don't even have a phone that isn't a mobile) and my boss would NOT look kindly on a International fax for non work purposes...

Would it really be so hard for Fun Publications to provide a method of registering that is properly web based, given they already have an online store?

Compared to the various complaints that there actaully is a proper reason for not doing anything about like "how dare they make exlusivces that i actaully want and charge me for them" this one looks like it could have been solved easily, but hasn't been.

Note if there is a way I'm more than happy to be corrected.

It's just not a pheasible Business option for them personally. Hence why they don't do it. I posted an e-mail I recieved from Brian on that subject. It's on the previous page

There's one thing I think is getting overlooked in all these arguments that deserves to get some attention called to it...

We all assumed a tour of Hasbro was likely going to be the pre-convention trip that you pay extra to attend. I know my eyebrows raised when they announced that the trip was something different.

But no, they threw us a curveball. The first 400-500 of you who register get to go FOR. FREE. That is damn amazing and unexpected. There is no previous precedent for anything like that at a Botcon. They're even planning it so you don't miss anything at the convention itself. Hasbro and FP deserve some appreciation for not going the obvious route and making it a separately paid tour. You just know that tour would sell out if it were paid, even at $75 or more a pop. There had to be a temptation there if they were really only in it for the money, as their detractors claim. And yet, possibly the most awesome Botcon event ever is totally free to attendees. Totally awesome.

Well now I know I have to get the toys and I will, hopefully, have my thing sent in early enough to get the tour and see the movie. I will fax tomrrow. I will also be getting the toys.

I just faxed in my registration, or rather, registration for my fianceĆ© and myself. I'm attending as her mini-con. :D

Any word on if we faxed in soon enough to get in on the Hasbro tour and movie pre-screening? We literally went and faxed this as soon as we saw the forms, so it'll be very depressing if we didn't make the cut... :(

Seekers were kind of expected but still pretty lame. Advanced screening? Thanks to time zones I'll probably still be 12 - 24 hours ahead of y'all. Mwahaha!

I just attempted to send about 50 faxes and got nothing but busy signals. Is anyone there? Or should I try to send tommorow morning?

QFT, in the back of my head I expected to pay. And depending on how much I probably would've skipped it. So I'm glad it's free and honestly IMPO it makes sense for it to be inclusive in pre-reg rather then as an added extra.

I'm kind of miffed at the limited placing though, not at them. Just at the possibility of not making it in. But with the reports of busy signals I feel hopeful I did make it in

WOW... the Admin. are working over time on this thread. I feel bad for them. I don't think I've ever seen so many censored posts.

Anyway, I'm just happy to be getting some more 'Cons. Personally, I was hoping to finally get Bludgeon, but I'm certainly not going to start swearing at Pete, Brian, Botcon, or even Hasbro. I appreciate what the club is trying to do for us, and I'm leaving it at that. Thanks for making us more seekers, guys.

I'm glad they finally got this up. I've been dying for a form. I'm just dissappointed in knowing that I've probably missed the customizing class. See y'all there.

PS: Please quit the complaining. It just weakens the fandom as a whole. I understand both sides. There were many Botcons that I didn't get to go to, and I'm only going this year thanks to someone else. Please, let's make the fandom better, and not look like Hotwheel collectors.

Well, since I was planning to go anyway, I'm happy to get these figures, but those who now can't get them do have my sympathy. A year ago that would have been me. Hell, I'm still annoyed about their Ironhide & Ratchet.

Fan demand aside, I think the set is rather weak. The three seekers are clearly the stars here, and were such predictable inclusions that the other two better make up for it. Honestly, I'd have rather seen some Cybertron molds painted up in G1 schemes, or some of the random background seekers from the 'toon. Guys like Sunstorm, Flamethrower guy, the green one, etc.

Thrust had BETTER have his unique wings, I know Dirge will be a simple repaint, and I hope Thundercracker has toy colors (but in all likelyhood he'll be show colored, ugh).

And Bugbite? Isn't that just a white Bumblebee? Yeah, he won't flood Ebay after the con. :rolleyes2

Hell, I still can't find the damn Ultra Magnus/Skywarp Target exclusive so I gave up completing the seekers a month or two ago.

Where are these censored posts? I haven't seen any since I started posting in this thread.

It's like on the first few pages

But you're not missing anything as it's just gratuitous cursing directed at Fun Productions and Hasbro

Wow, no use for Astrotrains mold. maybe an anime repaint will come in the future. This set isn't Quite as cool as last years, but they were hard pressed to come up with anything else with the limited classics molds. havn't decided If i'll get them yet, but that Hasbro HQ tour and the pre-movie screening are a MUST.

I'm dissapointed that the Mirage mold doesn't appear to be getting any love right now. Maybe as one of the other repaints coming up...

Remember there are still the unannounced convention exclusives. Astrotrain may be included in that bunch.

I for one am very happy to register. I sent my registration form in about 2 hours ago and I'm pumped. LOL I forgot which way the form goes into the fax so I faxed it once each way. So let me apologize in advance for the blank page.

To the detractors - not worthy of an intelligent response.

To FP and the Botcon folks - you guys rock and KD is right you guys deserve major kudos for pulling off the Hasbro tour and not charging registrants for it.

Eh? What's the Mini-Con package? Anybody have any ideas on that?

If it's discussed already in this thread, sorry but I"m too lazy to read all 28 pages.
