Haha, I can't do that, I have to be nice so that they will raid with me after they all have everything and I don't. Also, I hit 31 thanks to the Exotics Xur was selling and upgrading all the new tower gear. Still haven't gone that far into the raid yet, but I did take my level 28 Warlock and got the first chest which gave me the armband from the raid. Eris's bounties are quite a bit trickier than standard vanguard bounties, and the payoff doesn't seem so great. They need to balance that out a little.
Was doing more of Crota's End, we managed to get to Crota and work out how to kill him, but we ran out of time so he'll have to wait until next week. Very awesome raid...though I have no drops yet besides materials and cloak
All I have to show from the new raid are Gauntlets on my Titan. I feel you there! .. Oh and a bunch of Radiant Shards/Energy
My kids wanted the Dark Below so I went ahead and bit and got the season pass. At least all our accounts got the bonuses. Why do Eris' quests require a slot in your bounty inventory? It's not like it ruins anything, but it makes no sense. Are you guys saying there's a chest in the beginning part of the Raid that offers good loot? That you can hit the chest, go to orbit, and then hit the chest again? Is this the Vault of Glass or the new Raid?
There's a chest that you can easily get in the new raid, but only once on each character per week. This chest gives Radiant material, class items and possibly exotics.
I have a hard time finding enough people to get a Raid going, is the first chest something I may be able to fight to solo?
Yeah you can solo it. There's videos about it but basically once you're in, stay on the path (don't walk on the water), go forward and make a left at the first crossway after the one you start on. If the chest is there, you will see a small light above the door. If there's no light, go to orbit and come back and try again. You can get to it before monsters get to you. Also, an odd little fact- whenever you are standing in a puddle or water of any kind, you can look down at your foot and shoot it and actually take damage.
I do believe you need to be level 30 to go in though, or be in a party lead by a 30. You can't go in at all if you are lower than 27.
As already said, yes you can solo it. Way I did it was as soon as you drop down, turn to the first light but take a left. When you reach the wall turn right and follow it until you find a door. Take a peek in, see the chest then woop, if not let the Thralls kills you and the area resets. Repeat until chest is there. Got in with my 28 (at the time) Warlock.
Sorry, missed your post stating that. Thanks for confirming the lvl 28 Warlock, though, that's exactly what I'm at. (Hoping to break 29 tonight or tomorrow, though...)
Beat the Raid three times lastnight before the reset, then once this morning. That first chest loves me. Radiant shards and energy + Plan C and Hardlight across two different characters. Unfortunately got the Titan gauntlets again, but oh well more materials is never bad! Did make off with the Raid fusion rifle, sniper and machine gun, though. All is well. Also regarding that first chest, if there is no orange light on above the door, it won't be there. Quickest way to tell if its there or not. Unless you plan on wiping till it appears in the first door anyway.
Iron Banner doesn't really offer anything new or great this time around that wasn't there before. The stats are beefed up to current vendor stuff, but unlike last time, they aren't on the same level as raid gear.
