Has anyone received theirs from TFSource yet? This is my first order from them and I am a bit irritated that he hasn't even dropped yet. Is this normal for them? Came inches away from switching to BBTS (my normal spot) but figured TFSource would get theirs shortly after.

We are always looking to restock popular Out Of Stock items, such as the figure you mentioned! At this time, we have not received confirmation of the item’s availability; but are still looking to restock the figure.

We recommend that you sign up for the Personal Assistant, which now pops up on Out-Of-Stock items. “Jerry the Dino” pops up & informs you that the item is out of stock, but that you can enter your email address to be notified as soon as it’s back in stock!

We use the Personal Assistant on this item’s listing to do two things:
1) To immediately, electronically send an email to the customers who have signed up for it that a specific item is now in stock and available for purchase if they choose.
2) To gauge interest on specific items, to see what we want to focus our efforts on locating additional inventory of!

While I am afraid that I cannot currently assist you with the addition of the figure at this time, we are hopeful that “Jerry” will be able to help you via the Personal Assistant!

I am pretty annoyed at this response since I made it clear in my email asking about the status that I had already ordered two (one mint and one standard). I am not trying to "add" anything, simply looking for an update on an order that I placed in early June!

Sucks that this is my first experience with TFSource. Should have stuck with BBTS and the POL shipping.

The email also states that they are looking to "restock" this item. Has anyone actually received it from TFSource? Has it been stocked once to call for a "restock"?

And Jerry the Dino can go... well, never mind what he can go do.

Ok... Having never purchased from TFSource before, should I be worried that they aren't going to get this in stock? Has anyone received theirs from TFSource yet? It has been 2 weeks since BBTS received theirs...

Am I overly concerned and do I just need to chill the f out, or do I need to start looking for an alternative source for this?

TFSource has been behind the 8 ball lately. I've done most of my purchases with Japanese retailers or smaller US based like Toydojo or Chosen Prime. With that said, hope you guys get yours. If not, I have an extra sealed one maybe I can part with...

 

For the record, the 3 I got were 829 out of 1065, 787 out of 1065, and 727 out of 1065. So it was supposed to be limited to 1,000 in Japan (the 65 extra must be for extras or whatever they need). Seems about another 2,000 were likely allotted to Asia (excluding Japan).

Feel bad for those that were holding out hope for that atrocity.

I'm also stunned that a reputable company like tfsource would put out preorders and then retract it because they wee unable to get stock.

Thank god I went with Kapow.

If tfsource are unable to fill those preorders then I think it's up to them to offer a huge discount on another product to at least make some kind of apology to the disappointed customers ....

I have had two in my stack since the first day they opened preorders and mine have not dropped either. I'm not overly concerned (yet) as I doubt that TFS would not receive their stock. Talking with a friend about this situation, he suggested that perhaps TFS used boat freight shipping on this item. That would be a plausible explanation as TFS would save money on an item that will undoubtedly sell out regardless if they receive their stock 3 months after everyone else. Keep in mind, this is just a theory, not fact. I will say that I was nervous enough that I wound up buying one from another shop on Saturday... just in case. I have wanted Eva Prime for months and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay scalper prices. This is the type of figure that you can sell to recoup your investment without a loss.

Canned messages are annoying but generally expected at this time of year. I have always received personal messages any time that I have contacted TFS, but, I have never had the need to contact them during the Christmas season. Having been the warehouse manager for a mail order company, I can testify that they are probably swamped beyond belief. For one month every year, your business increases tenfold.

 

The one I have received so far is marked 1765 of 1929 (Hasbro carton). Borg designation?

 

Mine is 255/1929. Again, I have heard from a retailer that the Asian release was either shortened or cancelled, so there has been some scrambling for stock. Hopefully TFSource isn't in this situation, but it is possible.

 

If this holds true, this is going to be like Bape Prime all over again.

If this was BBTS (whom I have done a ton of business with) I wouldn't be concerned. Since this is my first go round with TFSource and the canned emails (saying when they get a "restock" when I doubt they have even received this yet) I got a bit concerned. Like you, I ordered 2 right when they went up for preorder. Like you I also recently picked one up from another source - just in case. Not a great price, but not horrible. $380 shipped versus the $315 preorder. $65 extra for the piece of mind while I wait.

Went through a ton of crap for the BAPE Prime and ended up with an extra one that I sold on eBay. Funny that EVA release ends up being more of a pain for me even though so many sites had preorders. It all evens out in the end I guess...  

 

I hope not - but glad I picked one up at a relatively small premium over preorder price. BAPE was a mess.

 

Yea, sadly I missed out on BAPE. Kicking myself for not grabbing it from a local for around $400, and kicking myself for not explaining the urgency to a friend who had a Bathing Ape around the corner from his office (not sure if China Bape's got them even) the urgency of getting to the store the morning of the release. Got a response "was moving a little slow today, I will try to get there by Tuesday" from him. Ah well, you win some you lose some.

 

I felt better with the possible explanation I mentioned before, but barrelks had to chime in with a dose of substantiated reality   I'm inclined to believe what he has heard direct from a retailer over my speculation. The plot thickens...

 

I missed the boat on him also. I was slammed with work during the time that he dropped and it completely slipped my mind. Oh well, definitely not paying the prices I've seen. I'm patient and will wait a few years until TF popularity dies off again- buyers market   Bape will be mine... eventually.

 

That would be a dick move by TFSource if they didn't give the people who preordered this a heads up if they aren't getting their order. That is part of what keeps me from sweating it too badly (that and the fact I have the just in case order being delivered on Friday). Would shake some confidence for future preorders through them.

Kicking myself for not grabbing it when it was in stock at bbts though (they were +24 in stock at the time so I didn't think much of it). A few bucks added to my POL is probably all it would have taken. My fault for being a cheap ass on a $315 item...
