Plus, I am pretty sure Ra's said that he hasn't been challenged in 67 years. It's more of a cliff-fall really.
That was amazing. A lot of stuff that I wasn't expecting, including a very surprising cliffhanger. The next several weeks aren't going to be an easy wait...
Damn. Ollie didn't stand a chance. I wonder who that was in the preview. The Atom suit looks awesome. Who could it be? Spoiler Please be Sara please be Sara . What? A guy can dream, can't he?
Time for Ollie to visit the Lazarus pit? That would be one way to have him survive. Or maybe he prepared in some other way. Great cliffhanger, and more "final" than I expected.
I'm more excited for the season finale than the season return, given the fact they'll have to go bigger than this...god damn.
Loved the episode. One thing that is sticking out is that they Spoiler introduced the mind control plant, showed it being used twice in the past, and then it hasn't come into play yet a third time. It almost makes me wonder if Ollie used it on Ra's and we only see what Ra's has been mesmerized into thinking occurred rather then what actually did. Lame, perhaps, since it would be a copout, but it would also be something they could do.
I could go there, especially since we know we Spoiler can't/don't lose Ollie..., kinda hoped it was a 'dream' sequence or something... if we're reaching...maybe his old friend helped him by giving it to the entire Ra's gang?
The mind control plant will probably be the excuse for why Thea killed Sara without knowing she did it. The Lazurus pit will come into play some how in this series. They will either try to bring Sara, Tommy or someone back with it.
I was a bit shocked that it ended the way it did. Of course we know he can't/won't die but still, I was expecting a good ass whooping then some last minute move to throw Ra over the cliff. My call on Thea finally came to pass, so that made me happy. I've been saying "Thea" since the death of Sara aired. The Lazarus Pit is a definite, in my book. Ra said he killed his first person at age 11 and that it had been 67 years since someone challenged him to combat. That would put his age close to 80. There has to be a reasonable explanation for him to look 50-ish and the Pit makes the most sense.
Picked up on those instantly too. Clear pointers he's been using the Pit and it would make sense Oliver will follow soon.
Really liked the Ra's/Arrow fight. Didn't look hokey like most of the others. My major gripe that's getting to me; as someone who has a couple compound and recurve bows, using them as a hitting weapon is ridiculous. Wouldn't take much impact to warp them into being inaccurate and useless for their intended use.
Definitely. And, Ra's is at least 80. He said he killed his first person at age 11 and his previous challenge was 67 years ago. Who knows how many people have challenged him since he was 11?
Probably? They said that outright and blatantly in the episode itself. Plus he said he's killed thousands. Ra's is deffinitely using the pit. Not that I care much, I despise this version of Ra's. Looks stupid, sounds stupid, and they got his name wrong again. What's even the point of having Ra's if you're just going to drop the ball completely?
I thought it was just me.All the crap he puts his bow through,he would have to resight it everynight he comes in.I lay my bow on the couch to hard and it can throw my sights off.I just try to look past that and enjoy it for what it is.
I missed it then, probably happened when I took a restroom break. I haven't had time to rewatch it yet.
A fellow archer. Nice! Yeah adjusting sights, not fun.... Anyway, I agree with the last sentence. I basically wanted to reply before I'm bombarded with the "ZOMG, you're bringing up this realism in a show that has speedsters, etc". Just something anyone who does archery would get bothered by, but I can live with the fact that it could be made of some super sci-fi material or that he's just really, really, really gifted with a bow. I really like the show for the most part, otherwise.
