Geez this turned out to be a 2 month delay. Ultra Magnus was delayed too, Bumblebee looks like he will be on target at least.
I'm a little surprised this wasn't posted earlier (unless I missed it): a Vine of Segatron's transformation from console mode, mirrored at Seibertron. He looks bigger in botmode than I expected! I can almost justify the price now.
It's only a month...I hope. I pre-ordered Miracle House Aracia like three months ago, and it's been delayed like three times by now. It's beginning to piss me off!
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Probably because I haven't really been looking forward to this as much as all the other stuff on my pre-order list...
He's the first one I've actually preordered on an asian site, so I'm excited about it. Plus I'm a huge Sega fan and I can't believe they actually did this!
Just got the email from Anime Export, in stock and ready to ship! edit: FYI these were my shipping options at AE: Fast 2220 yen - $19.10 Slow 1390 yen - $11.96 I'm excited for this guy but I went with slow shipping, trying to save a few bucks here and there.
I'm really disappointed to discover that's not a real USB drive. I would've had a perfect application for it, even if it had only been that dinky 2GB one Takara loves so much.
I didn't know it wasn't a real one, I wasn't counting on it or anything. But oh well, hopefully he'll be here in a few days.
Looks good, I should be getting mine this week. I cannot wait, this is the first figure I preordered. May to now is forever!
The packaging is beautiful. The d-pad, ABC, and Start buttons are pressable. This is where the controller port hooks into the cannon. I think he has a great head sculpt. He scales well with G1 Soundwave. Looking at these pics, I'm happy with him. BUT he is very hard to pose. His feet are pretty badly designed since they don't tab into anything, they just float around and make it very difficult to stand still. His knee joints are annoying too. Also, there are some tabs, but he doesn't tab too well in Mega Drive mode, takes some moving around to get things right.
They are already making a PS1 that turns into Prime. I will find the pictures and post them if you haven't seen it, wait I will do it now .... (opens a new tab to find images) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHoahF61HCA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ8mwztk50E Best Regards,
I can't wait for my Segatron to arrive but I had to wait for Bee to hit my POL first. He's going to look great on my shelf with next to the SMS, Genesis, Sega Cd, 32x, JVC X'Eye, CDX, Game Gear, Nomad, Saturn and Dreamcast. OK, maybe not the Dreamcast so much. And Original Playstation Optimus Prime will look great next to my PS1, where ever that is. Damn thing still works too! Too bad old Playstations will never be as fun to collect as old Sega systems, except maybe the Net Yaroze system.
got mine yesterday, pretty cool guy once it's in the genesis mode. like what dukefett said, the hinges which are attached to the feet don't peg into anything so you have to really finesse the feet to get it in a position where it'll hold the rest of the figure up straight. the expanding shins are also annoying because mine tends to collapse on itself - you have to be really delicate with the legs in order for everything to hold just right. i hated how small the feet looked in all the earlier pictures because they had the toe flush with the shins, but you can pull the feet out to make him look like he has bigger feet, and use the black heel bit for rear support. everything else is pretty solid. wished the fusion canon was a bit smaller. the controller plug is really loose when plugging into the alt mode, but plugs firmly to the blaster in bot mode. he's an interesting one-off figure (until playstation prime comes out) overall.
The feet really baffle me, I've only recently got back into Transformers and have only MPs and a few G1s besides this guy, I don't know if other more recent TFs are like this, but I don't know how they can get away with feet like that. Especially considering it's just a hollow shell for the system, I don't see why they couldn't figure something better out.
maybe they just assumed that most people will be displaying it in alt mode since that's probably why most of us ordered this guy to begin with ^.^
