Sorry, but what are "lunchtime specials"?

 

Ah, sorry. These are either the questionable QC rejects from the bin, or ones hidden by factory workers in a bag.

The expression actually comes from the factory workers in the official production plant running the manufacturing machines when the boss is on a lunch break and driving the results out the door.

 

I see, I will bring my "lunchtime special" along. I got it for slightly less than $20, without box but with sticker and instructions. Hmm which insignia should I go with on my rb?

Nope haha. I wanted to get windblade from amazon but I got mine from metro today haha! I will be bringing my card on sunday, so whoever needs it can use it.

 

*Update 4/12/14, got a refund from metro, hasbro didnt even reply my email I sent out on monday ):

Crap! My first TF first that I bought that isnt at clearance price is freaking defective! My windblade came with stress marks at the cockpit joints and a missing screw to join the nosecone, which results in a missing landing gear! Not very sure does metro allow exchange for defective goods, but is there a hasbro customer service or sth?

If you see carefully, the cockpit cover is not even aligned



It just fell apart and the landing gear is missing



   

 

^ You could try going back to the store for assistance. Of course, you will need the purchase receipt as proof that you bought from them.

Alternately, you could try emailing Hasbro SG to explain your situation and if they could help.
I did wrote them when my pack of blindbag Kre-O was missing a piece. It took quite a while with several back-and-forth emails, but was finally able to get a random replacement pack from a visit to their office.

 

I went to call up metro and they allow me to change for a brand new set. Problem is metro doesnt have anymore windblade at their branches now so I guess I have to contact hasbro directly.

 

Call Hasbro first thing on Monday if they have no 24hr customer service hotline.

 

Looks like I'll only be reaching by about 3+ today.

Return the defective product to Metro and ask for a full refund. Then, buy from Amazon for only US$14.99. Problem solved.

 

A heads up to those interested:

Amazon is selling the Generations Leader Jetfire at US$28. But stocks run out pretty quickly. Just have to be patient and wait for restocks. Next restock should be around 10 Dec. I just bought IDW Jhiaxus at $10.19. Yeay!

I am not very good at buying 2nd hand stuff. All I can say is try to look around at the secondary market platform, ebay, carousell or toy buy/sell/trade pages on facebook. Check the condition of the toy, manual, box, accessories to see whether $50 is sth you will pay for.

Hmm. Rumour said it was a private recommission for this year asia exclusive mp-10 release so chances are it is not going to hit the store. Not very sure how true is this rumour but you still can order it at tfsource or bbts. The local peeps paid about $210 - $230 for it when it was open for pre-order in October.
